What amp should i get =O?

Hey fellow softies =D

I'm wondering what amp i could get for a budget of 200-300 that provides good clean tone. Right now i'm thinking that the Ibanez valBee is a gd choice since it's more of a no-frills kinda tube amp and i don't wanna carry such a heavy amp back home >_<

Any of u guys has any other suggestions or advices do let me know

hope you've read the Valbee review... it's reverbless & in need of more bass, make sure you got these aspects covered before parting with cash. the ValBee has, indeed, some very workable default drive to further accept pedal supplements.

at that price range, the following 'mini' amps are recommended:

*Roland MicroCUBE
*VOX DA5

also:
*CRATE VTX15B

For your budget you -might- be able to get a Epiphone Valve Junior combo from Swee Lee. They don't stock it as far as i know - you'll have to ask them to bring it in.

Do google and read up a lot on the VJ if you intend to get the amp. Small amp, simple and supposedly sounds good, has some minor issues and can be very loud.

well imho i really like my friend's peavey 30 watt amp.. the 220 dollar one on the sweelee website..

it sounds nice clean, and extremely wicked distorted

Good cleans? I think the Vox Pathfinder 15R can do it... whats the damage for it? I dunno, check with City Music or Luthers...
