Lifehouse, I'm in the market for a new wah as well. Care to post clips of the Budda? I've heard many good things about it.
I haven't tried that many pedals, but I'll let you in on what I've used before.
I currently use the Bad Horsie 1, first issue which came with the original Steve Vai bad squad CD. Pretty damn good wah, but limited in some aspects. I think it's pretty cool because it somewhat responds to your picking dynamics and gets you that screaming rock tone as well.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Tremonti wah, amazing wah for non-boutique brand. If you have the chance do check it out.
I've tried the Fulltone Clyde wahs, didn't sound that good to my ears. Judging from the clips off Fuller's page, I thought it would totally blew me away. I found the sweep and tones to be slightly lackluster...not something I would expect from such a wah. I'm not saying it doesn't sound good, but for something from Fuller and such a price tag, I'd expect it to be mindblowing.
IMHO the clyde wah is plain hype. Sure Fuller makes some GREAT pedals, I just feel the clyde's just not one of them.
I'm currently awaiting the new shipment of RMCs to arrive.
