Hi again peeps, it's been a long time since i last played neo-classical stuff. I think it was back in '94 at a gig at the old WTC Amphitheatre playing Malmsteen's "As Above So Below". But recently i was inspired to practise neo-classical again when my Primary 5 guitar student (yes, he is 11 yrs old!) asked if i can play Stratosphere !
When i was 11, i asked my teacher how to play Mary Had A Little Lamb on the recorder! Young kids nowadays?!?
Well, I've only heard of Malmsteen, Vinnie Moore, Tony Macalpine & Joe Stump but not the band Stratovarius. So i took out my Korg Pandora PX4D, transcribed the
main intro riff, practised it for 4 days and 3 nights without peeing and barely managed to bluff it somehow and wanna share it with all of you, haha...
But i like the song and especially loved the torture it brings to my fingers during the process...
Stratosphere (Half-step tuned down : Eb Ab C# F# Bb Eb)
