guys i've got a black goth epiphone SG.. it has a very very bad feedback.. the feedback only happens when my hand have any contact with any metal parts on the guitar..eg, the strings, the bridge, the tail piece.. the feedback will be gone if im not touching any of those.. thus, when im playing and when i wanna mute the guitar..it will make terrible feedback.. HELP ME PLS! i've got soldering kit.. i just need help from expert on what to do..

i don't think it's something got to do with your guitar,
maybe it's the distortion you're using or it's because you're facing the guitar towards your amp creating the feedback back to you..

try checking your tone and your amp..
SG is a great guitar... don't worry. :D

haha its the guitar.. i just added a drop soldering aluminium on the back of the volume pots and now its very quiet... =D thank god i found the soldering kit

its the grounding, i kena before.. haha
touch then no feedback, release got feedback.

the usual term is hum..

heh, from the description, actually it seem more like the hot/signal contact and ground contact reverse liao.

Usually for grounding problem, the hum will go away when we touch the metallic part, cos our body complete the path to ground and when we dont touch, there be a floating ground(no place to go) so the hum become louder, in simple form that is
