US and N Korea, war in future ?

At the rate Kim Jong Il is going, war is inevitable. The only thing holding it back is the fact that it would be a nuclear war so both parties would suffer horrific damage, and North Korea standing little to no chance of winning any war, unless they were to somehow ally with China, which sounds quite far fetched.

I think its quite likely, and with the way tensions are now, soon it could break into a full-fledged Nuclear War. The only reason why it hasnt happened is due to the amount of damage caused and the consequences of involving other countries. However, i think that it is quite likely that many powerhouse countries such as Russia,China,UK will take sides and take advantage of this conflict to settle their past problems (e.g Russia,coldwar).:twisted:

Dont think China and Russia would like to have a war near their borders. These 2 countries will use their positions as permanent UN security members to veto and stall any efforts for war.

Besides Obama is rather happy going around the world making friends, he's not a warmonger..

If either North Korea or USA declare war on the other, it won't be a war between just them both.

Allies of the USA will come to their defence & aid and same with N.Korea.

It will somehow end up being a World War.

tis' going to be unlikely... north koreans are not stupid, a country with just less than 30 nukes would not risk a full fledged war --- it can damage china or japan but the US can do to it many many times worse

what they want is really to just make the world recognize them
