so did Devastator.. too anti-climax..
but like many others, i say the story seems lacking but the robots were damn freaking cool.
and imo, New Divide (Linkin Park) and 21 Guns (Greenday) seems to be overplayed in the movie..
SoundWave is not only cool, he's one of the strongest and formidable decepticon around. Stronger than most autobots too. I was dissapointed not seeing him fight, He stores the Decepticon spy cassettes. Ravage, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ratbat, Rumble, Frenzy, Slugfest, Overkill, Squawktalk, and Beastbox who are under his command in the original television series.

I thought the add-ons on Optimus was awesome with the huge missile launcher.
Also, I am not sure if you guys are with me on this, but it seems like they can easily revive any transformers with some form of energy source. So I am guessing Transformer movies will never have a proper closure unless there is some kinda armaggeddon or something.
Anyway, I rate the movie 4/5. Love the twin bots and also Bumble Bee for that emo scene when Sam left for college. His mom was hilarious after eating the "cake".

Now that you have mentioned it, yes. too bad soundwave did not fight, He is Megatron's intelligence officer and is considered the number 3 of the decepticons. Next to Starscream then Megatron. But he did play a very important role in the film. He will surely have a more starring role in the next movie.
If you find there are things lacking in the movie, like some back stories, try to get the copy of the movie prequel comics Alliance, Defiance, the one about starscream. It tell's the Origin of the Fallen, the birth of the transformers, and the cybertronian wars. The Role satrscream played after the first movie, why the heck did he fly off to space. and what are those embryo thins in the movie.
I have read these before watching the movie so maybe that is one of the reasons the story was OK for me. The plot of the movie could have been a lot better though, but hey like I always say. Giant Robots go at IT !!!! Seeing the transformers come to Life in the Big Screen for the second time is already enough for me.
O.T. I might get some heat from fanboys hehe. I'm one of them too but we just have to accept that the story of the transformers is different, or the movie, is different from th transformers story we have grown up with and love during the cartoons.

Remember the first movie during primes monologue. "I am Optimus Prime, and I send this messgeto all remaining autobots in the universe. We are here, we are waiting" (close to that)
Arcee is one of the autobots who responded along with the twins and sideswipe. It's in th prequel comics. hehe. Like I said, reading the prequel comics will help tie some loose ends.
I would not really say it was too much about the humans. their scenes where more during the half of the movie. It's quite relevant that the movie will be more about the humans quest, after all ...... You Know..... (It's the Major Spoiler and the person who dare to post this info will surely get murdered lol)
Plus, I don't think the producers will be able to handle the cost if the whole movie will be the CGI transformers alone. Thought if that happens, that will be awesome.

I just came back from the movie and what an awesome experience. Reminiscent of what I felt when I walked out of the theatre 2 years ago from 1. Was expecting shitload of action for this sequel and it totally delivered. It was a jaw dropping 2.5hrs of meaningless explosions/destroying of infrastructures, love it.
I don't get why have I been reading so many negative reviews for this movie.

And then again there's the constant portrayal throughout the thing of the presidential administration as weak and isolationist, which would have been fine except they actually named the president by name in this one. hmmm...

i hate to make myself look so old, but i was a young dude when the Transformers were first popular.
Both of these movies have been disappointing. i rate the RotF as one of the worst movies i've ever seen.
