the one song ill always listen to for my shred satisfaction would be rising force by malmsteen. awesome feel and if u bother to learn the second part of the three parts of the guitar solos u will learn something which u dont normally see many shredders doing. 8)

Same here, but I was pretty hooked on the song's solo. Too bad I can't play guitar for nuts tho, else I'll give a shot at trying to learn it lol.

i am learning to shred oso..

-yngwie
-batio
-gilbert
-friedman
-becker
-Petrucci

EJ is totally kickass :D but he was never close to being the fastest,

by personal choice i think my fav shredders would be:
Vinnie Moore
Jason Becker
John Petrucci
Marty Friedman
Frank Gambale
Shawn Lane
Brett Garsed
Steve Vai(yes he can shred)

Actually, Johnson's tone is really.. his tone... very 1 dimensional. Its very plesant but thats it... there's nothing else about the tone.

Yeah Sid, Vai can shred. Listen to Rescue me or Bury me. The solo is ridiculous.

i do believe that they are not a household name like (kirk hammet, steve vai, Paul gilbert) thats why i say that they are under rated.

How abt that guitarist from the awesome epic neoclassical band, Adagio? He has killer chops and a fine aggression in his playing.

Am listening to Megadeth's Peace Sells.. But who's Buying? Chris Poland IS INSANE. His legato is wacked fast (Richie Kotzen would be the bluesy/rock counterpart) yet amazingly complex and matured.

There's this dude... ah... Paul Warren, his website link is a banner on top of Jemsite. Killer legato player too...

Yes, they are all fast. :D

lolz yea Chris Poland is totally awesome...he actually has a finger deformity which made him play unorthodox runs .... 8O

ah adagio is one fine band. heard of their stuff a while back but declined to buy the previous album cos it was too lacklustre. but the current one they just put out is some serious prog man. if only i can find the funds to get a few new albums..
