You guys might be wondering what we talked about so i'd just state a few pointers.
I started off with the first few things i could think of. Like why he was here, what was he going to do, dinner? That kinda stuff.
First and foremost, he was really nice. I'm sure he gets this from a lot of fans around the world. However, when i approached him, he was all cool with it. And i felt like he really wanted to talk to me, not some one sided n00b to guitar god kinda thing hah. He took the effort to talk and ask me about Singapore and stuff. He agreed to take the photos too.
Next up, Marty is a real humble guy. I mean, i could gather from his youtube videos that he was generally a nice dude, but meeting him was different. I talked to him about his japanese show, Rock Fujiyama, where he had Paul Gilbert on as a guest. He then went on to say something like "Paul is a really good guitarist." and i replied with a "So are you!" Then he laughed it off humbly, kinda' saying no. I mean seriously, respect.
Another thing we talked about was Singapore English. He asked me something like "Why is it that the English over here is so hard to understand. You're the first one i can understand easily." Well something like that, so we talked about it.
He also said he likes Singapore, the weather and all. I said it has been real hot the past few days, but that's why he likes it hah. Oh yeah, he said "I like Singapore." and i replied "I like Megadeth." And they laughed hah. TRUE DAT.
I should have asked him some questions on his awesome playing, tone and THE CLAW. But i couldn't think much at that time hah. I was rather dazed.
Well yeah, that was most of it as i had to go off for a reunion dinner. Damn imagine if i had joined them for dinner or something. That would be sick.
And by the way, he said there was only one dude before me who approached him that day. Wonder who that was haha.
