anyone likes them? i must say one of the best pop punk bands ever.. well the purpose of this thread is not to be mistaken to be the same as P A R A M O R E, but i've got news for people who were let down by their album Welcome The Night..

We are currently writing and working on demos for our forthcoming album. It should be out sometime next spring/summer 2008. The songs so far are sounding somewhere along the lines of our earlier records "Blue Skies..." and "So Long, Astoria"

I'm a very big fan of their early albums "Anywhere But Here", "Look Forward to Failure" E.P., "Blue Skies, Broken Hearts... Next 12 Exits", "end is forever", "So Long, Astoria"

any like minded fans of them? =)

Hmmm...at first I thought it's the Atari game. For the young ones who ask "what's Atari?", it's an arcade game console from the early 80's.....way before Nintendo and Sega.....and well well way before Playstation and X-box. And I swear I once saw an Atari at Cash Converter!

Accidental single

This album also included their cover of the Don Henley song "The Boys of Summer," which much to the dismay of the band became their "accidental" second single after a radio station in Southern California started playing it, even though the band had already chosen the song "My Reply" as their second single. The single is their highest charting single to date, reaching #20 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Hey did you guys know that The Boys of Summer was a accidental single which they did not intent to do so? I wonder how would it have been if My Reply was the single instead. Really hope they would come to Singapore too haha!

well, i wouldn't mind either one being a single, i'm just in love with their songs.. such emotions are rarely found in bands nowadays, you can feel how kris roe was really heartbroken when his girlfriend left him 6 years before the band formed and how happy he is with his friends around him.. simple yet genuine..

well a quote from kris roe himself..

"In a lot of my lyrics," Kris reveals, "I like to encode a lot of hidden messages... I like our audience to read into things. Writing should be very in depth, very detailed. Every essence of the moment should be described."

I have alot of their cd albums. ataris was hot in singapore back in 2003 , alot of local bands covered their songs, but from there emo/emopunkrock died out to become the screamo stuff today.
