Bro Faizal: Kudos to you for coming all decked out in your Singapore Lions jersey! Nice! How very patriotic of you!

Thanks for sharing some pix with us. The stadium looked rather empty.

And thanks too for the little summary of how the game went. :D

Haha, yup the stadium looked empty and one of our fans purposely played a cricket ringtone ;P

The DARE crowd below us even though they managed to get us to rally behind the Lions. I was surprised that they actually wanted to do the Kallang Wave! With 10K+ ppl, they attempted that 3 or 4 times and nobody responded..I rather watch the game haha..

All in all, just say no to hooliganism and racism and the beautiful game will stay beautiful :) Lets not go off topic, shall we?

Anyone heard about the 3 Brunei DPMM FC players who got banned for threatening the ref and one of them actually punched the ref? Wow. This was against Home United and they lost 1-6 in their home ground..gosh..what happened? Brunei DPMM FC was on a high during the beginning of the season..n this happened..punching a ref is just unthinkable..

SINGAPORE : The coach of the Singapore Youth Olympic Games football team has died.

V Sivalingam collapsed while playing in a soccer match on Sunday to raise funds for paralysed former national player S Anthonysamy.

The incident happened half an hour into the game and the 51-year-old was rushed to Tan Tock Seng hospital.

He was later pronounced dead.

He was former coach of Tampines Rovers Football Club in the S.League and also coach of Singapore's under-14 football team that played in the Asian Youth Games.

He is survived by a wife, two sons and a daughter.

Zainudin Nordin, president, The Football Association of Singapore, said: "We are all devastated by the news. Our condolences and thoughts are with Sivalingam's family at this very difficult time and we will render all the necessary assistance in their time of need."

Last month, ex-national footballer Dollah Kassim also collapsed while playing soccer.

He is now out of intensive care but is still in a coma and warded at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. - CNA/ms
