Sorry, I must be really tired man, from waiting for the arrival of the White Silo Spec. There are, indeed, birdseye on the neck, a good spread across the back of the neck. Not a common sighting on the newer Silo Spec...

Sinamex may be able to help you pre-order one, if you are willing to wait Ross. The one that Whitey has now could probably be the last ex-stock from states. No joke - I enquired no less than 7/8 vendors, all the other White SSS/HSS they have are all maple boards. Maybe GC has some since they stock-in quite a number of Silo/Spec recently.

Whatever the case, this config is a good choice.

How you loving the SSS combo? Can compared with your strat?

The switching is the same. But I don't like the stock pups, and I don't like the bridge pup being wired to the tone knob. I'm going to change to CS69s, and have the bridge pup bypass the tone knob. Other than that, it plays nicely.

Not quite my strat, but with the CS69s, I think it'll be good enough.:mrgreen: I dunno man... there's just something magical about this one strat that I have... It's an absolute AL and Silo Spec killer... Whahahahaha...

Yup I saw the pearloid tuners. There are 2 ways to order the pickguards:

1. Going thru my vendors again, will take some time, 2-3weeks.

2. Direct from Chandler's pickguard, as recommended by EBMM's CS. They accept paypal and can ship direct. But their website dont seems to be functioning well..esp on the pricing options.

I am deciding whether to order a SSS assembly. If yes, will order your pickguard together from authorised dealers there. Ordering parts are pain in the a$$ sometime...

P.S: YOur Spec's rosewood board looking nice with a sheen isnt it? bcos it has been nourished with Ripper's special "Wanker Wipe"! My Schnauzer's virgin piss thats it!! Hahaha..Just a joke bro. Enjoy your new guitar.

It's a C shape. But a bit more narrow compared to the AVRI 62s... Very comfortable.

But honestly, after playing this one, I'm thinking a Silhouette (24 fret) is still my thing.:mrgreen:

PM you on the pricing. No VSB at the moment. White pearloid guard can get at ebay for replacement at $32.99usd bro, as mentioned earlier, got one black Silo in stock.

Actually got one Egyptian Smoke with python pickguard RW Silo with trem too. But sold off already.
