Hi, folks...

I would like to know where the Epiphone Les Pauls that Swee Lee brings in are made.

Someone once said that all of them are Made in China. Is that so? Aren't there any that is Made in Korea or Japan?

If that really is the case, then where else sells Epiphone LPs that are Korea or Japan-made? :?

if you believe in good guitars, disregard its country of origin. with EPIs especially, the country of origin isn't a quality assurance. yes, generally, one would prefer a guitar made in Japan for its reputed workmanship but this isn't a sure factor.

i believe there are enough proponents here to vouch the immaculate make/ finish of POT guitars. made in thailand...

I'm impressed with the guitars produced in Indonesia namely Squier and Ibanez.

Always been impressed with Ibanez Artcore models from China.

Nowadays, its really quite hard to find a fundamentally BAD guitar from a major brand.

i was fiddling around with one of the full hollow with twin humbuckers. Feels good but I know I don't need it. Just can't help looking at quality bargain guitars!

i don't know man. I use to work on quite a lot of basses last time... that 5 string Warwick nearly broke my back.

So, moral of the story is, the country of origin is not important? Just as long as I am comfortable with the overall playability and the standard of the guitar?

I am still based on the mentality that Japan-made Epiphone LPs are at the top. :? However, prior to the comments made, I really have to see for sure if China-made are just as good.

P.S. There are no Indonesian-made Epiphone LPs are there?

i think the guitar is as good as the quality control the guitar company demands from these contract manufacturers.

remember this fact, Samick is not only a brand but its a contract manufacturer for many brands out there.

the brands I'm impressed with are Ibanez and Squier. Never been to impressed with Epis. Gotta ask sub here.
