"THE CIRCLE IS NOW COMPLETE..." - Completing your rig

There's really a lot of "better" equipment out there but for now I think my rig fits my objectives like a T.

Isn't that the end all? That you are happy with it?

I dunno about others but I really can't be bothered what other's might think. So what if... XxX pedal is "overhyped and not worth it"? I like it.

Of course.

There's also certified crap. :D DS1 anyone?

even when you're happy theres always that nagging thought that theres something out there that could make you happyER :p

anyways if everyone can agree that its the hunt/journey/experimenting thats all the fun then isnt finding the perfect set up something to be sad about? like 'oh crap this is perfect!' :)

I don't think there's ever a complete rig as once in a while we still G.A.S for stuff even though we don't really need it, although I might say I've found my sound.

But then again, I do hope there will be a day when I feel complete with the sound I've got.

Hi, my name is Goose.....:)

Come on already ....do you eat the same type of food everyday...
With pedals and guitars ...it's all about variety. ... don't look for the magic potion in em tho... since ....

.....THE TONE IS THE FINGAZS!!!

Remember ... ffries at mac'ers ... they give this small packet of "msg" to give it some sizzle where you add em and shake em ...gear is just that!!

..have some sizzle in your life but don't make 'sizzle" your god!!

Hi, my name is Goose.....:)

This line reminds me alot about that song the Singapore Lions made waaaay back in 94?

Actually to be honest, guitar wise I'm already contented with the 2 I have.. now its just for that tone in my head.

I forgot the title! The one where the national team sang, with abbas and fandi and jang jung..

Nvm. I'm going nuts thinking about the title...

There have been so many facets of my gear hunt that have yielded the End All.

In your case? I highly doubt that... Hahahaha...

Anyways, for me, my modest collection of EBMMs have more or less settled my guitar needs. There's pretty much nothing I can't get from what I already have. I got HH, SSS, HSS and soon to come HSH. Anything else I buy is purely for line expansion, and collection's sake, and for pure fun. I'm running into excesses with my EBMM collection, to the point, there's 2 I really never play at all.:p

I'm a minimalist when it comes to gadgets. I've more or less settled happily with the pedals I have. The Chorus is 100% covered with an old CE2, and I've got more distortion pedals than I have feet, so they cover a wide range too. Were I forced to pick one just to use, I'd have to go with the Crunchbox or the Tubezone OD. For home use, I just use a BD2 with my Laney...

For Amps, I'm more or less settled with a nice EL34 Vintage tone Laney amp (If that amp is good enough for John Chee to use night after night for his entire stage setup, it's good enough for me), but there's one last thing I'm dying to get: a 15w 6v6 amplifier. Fender just released one this year (Princeton Reverb), and I'm still trying to get the pricing correct from Swee Lee. Once I get that one, I think I've got everything else I need. After that, perhaps just a cab would suffice. But for home usage, I've got more than I need.

For home recording, there's always the all powerful PODXTLive and my PC. What more would I want?;)

heh, thats prolly right as well.

theres always many sides of things to do music. Just find it funny sometime(laughing at my ownseff as well) how we can talk bout geetar gear like got dragon and tiger(wu leng wu hor)

I havent really bought a pedal or such for a long time.....quite a few months(6-7?)....my last guitar purchase was around 5 months ago....my last amp purchase was also 8 months ago....so I have been GAS free for a while....all until I tried the Honey Bee.....now I've gone and traded my Dyna Red for the Honey Bee....and must break my pedal-fast by buying a Mighty Red distortion....I'm done after that...I promise:P

My main sounds come from:
Guitar:Tom Anderson Droptop Classic(HSS) and whammy equipped:D (sold the other guitars).
When I do suffer from GAS many months/years down the line, I WILL get a good strat, tele and a good LP for my collection. Maybe experiment with Suhr,PRS. But my main axe is all I need right now.

Amp:Gries 5(perfect for home use, home recording, small jams) providing a great palette for tone shaping. I have been considering a Suhr Badger for a while now though:D(wont keep both either case)

Effects: (here goes):D

Always on:
Goosey's compressor(first in line)
Landy Clean boost(end of chain)

Main Drives: (so many combos)
Skreddy Screwdriver(never left the board sinnce I first got it)
Dyna Red(to be replaced by Mighty Red)
Honey Bee(just entered a week ago, but its a keeper)
Timmy(boost)

Fuzz:
Analgoman NKT-275 Sunface

Wah:
Good ole' Crybaby

Modulation:
Mojovibe
Analogman Chorus

Delays:
EHX DMM(modded)
Eventide Timefactor(for the out there stuff)-on and off the board

Additional colors(for specific gigs or recordings, not on my board)
Skreddy Pinkmour
Skreddy Mayo
Whammy4
BYOC octave

I really dont see myself needing anything at this moment...maybe more talent....

the end of GAS? :D

it's equivalent to say "ok, this chicken rice is da bomb. I will eat this till the day I die" :D
