The Boss Book

Preview here. I ordered from Amazon. Bit out of date, but I think it will be of interest.

Eh... I got the Effects Handbook and the Pickups Handbook. Also lots of interesting stuff. Explains what each pedal is meant to be, and how you can optimise a rig setup by understanding more. Might want to check those out too!

Effects Handbook by Dave Hunter? I have that.
Also got the Analog Man guide to vintage effects, which is awesome.

Yeah... the Dave Hunter one... I sort of find the pickup handbook more useful than the Effects one. Talks about how pickups achieve their tones, and what variables would affect what... Good read.

Analogman on vintage effects? Must go see...

talking bout that, recently i came across a thread on analogman efx book. Apparent there were couple of pics and stuff in the book, that was taken from one of the biggest efx collectors in europe, without his permission to be published in the book.

Just another point for you guys, since most of the posters in this thread are a little more serious and genuine about their posts... heh...;)

Here's a pretty good resource, but you'd have to subscribe... Honestly, it's damn worth it... very good articles: www.tonequest.com
