Anything Else?

1. Scuttle buttin - SRV
2. Cause we ended up as lovers: EC / Beck
3. Cliffs of Dover Eric Johnson

I see the preference for clean strat tones....

Some of my favourite strat tones apart from the ones mentioned...

Wayne Krantz
David Gilmour
Jimi
Robin Trower

ps.anyone know where Brandon recorded his album?

nobody mentioned john mayer?

for me its:
SRV - pride and joy
Jeff Beck - Cause we ended up as lovers
Jimi Hendrix - All along the watchtower
Robin Trower - Bridge of Sighs
Billy Gibbons (ZZ top) - La grange
Eric Johnson - Manhattan
David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) - Sorrow (the intro is way too epic)

i really really like
manhattan by eric johnson. absolutely beautiful tone.

Jeff Beck - Cause we ended up as lovers
made me discover another new dimension literally. its the first jeff beck song i learn to play
too

Little wing - SRV / jimi hendrix
i freaking love this song

dun hear too much strat players in my mp3 so here's my very limited list:

- yngwie malmsteen (arpeggios from hell)
- mark knopfler (sultans of swing and money for nothing)

Pretty little ditty - red hot chili peppers
very simple instrumental but somehow i love it.

the srv stuff like lenny, riviera paradise, scuttle buttin', rude mood and chitlins con carne are power la.
his tone on the strat is a big influence on me

So was La Grange and Cause We've Ended As Lovers.

I was asking for INSTRUMENTALS by the way...

haha i'm pretty sure la grange was on a strat. I DIDN'T SEE INSTRUMENTALS

oh la grange was a mixture of a strat and a les paul.. haha the first solo was definitely a strat.

and michael landau have mouth watering tones

Burning waters you mean =]

I think lots of good stuff has been said. SRV, EJ and Gilmour and Malmsteen's hands are just foof.

Eruption. It was essentially a Strat. Hehe.

I keep thinking of Tele songs so I better stay out.

Billy Gibbons on Thank You. And La Grange was on a Strat~. Oh instrumentals...

Lazy with Ritchie Blackmore, Onda by Los Lonely Boys. Half instrumentals... Onda was with a MIM Strat~

I must say, Need Your Love So Bad by Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac. Its a simple tone but it cuts into me as much as B.B would.

Jimi Hendrix - All along the watchtower
Robin Trower - Bridge of Sighs
