The Bassist's Effects Line Up

yup i am blending the LS-2 (blend) with my dry signal via the custom blender to nail down my dirt channel.

i want the over the top fuzz+the polish OD gives a nasty huge mid-hump when blended give a very nice gnarly tone and blend it with the dry signal to keep that signature dark growly tone of the bass intact.

gonna downsize the board so i can use that to add into a bigger board i am planning to build with M9+expression pedal (for modulation needs). prolly on a pt-2 or a pt-jr.

prolly another custom looper/blender that i can choose whether the signal from the M9 comes before or after that mini board. it be great if the M9 got some sort of effect loop that i can chug the mini board thu it.

ok so as i understand it....

2 different ODs blended, and then that result is then blended again into the dry signral, therefore quire 2 blenders...

Arrggh, I have been avoiding this thread for much too long, its GAS inducing. Anyways, better contribute also:

My rig:

The moogs are my personal fav, but they are heavy and they need either a modification or separate power supplies of they hum likethe analog bastards they are.

Been using them a lot for the current recording of one of my bands. For those interested to hear what they sound like, can check out the 2010 songs at www.myspace.com/ladiesyche

The racks ah, most impt bits are the Markbass SD 800 and Pro Tools Eleven rack.

I have a Bellari tube pre in there as well when I am lining in to the pro tools eleven rack just for cab sim for demo recordings and stuff. To be honest I am not sure the Eleven Rack beats things alike Axe Fx but it works and allows me to use Pro Tools which is what I am used to.

The alesis is just an amp for the monitors I have when i am gg through teh eleven rack, but usually for practice purpose, the Markbass outputs to the accugroove(I honestly think is one of the best cabs in this world, sober or otherwise).

The only other thing is that the moogs are on a loop bypass that i activate only when i need them Too lazy to do the mods to the power or buy separate power supplies for all, and its been giving me hum problems.

I have two pedal boards, bands important to me get the full two board and maybe even amp rig, others just get my bass straight into whatever amp there is in the studio.

the blue box is a custom blender, downloaded the schematic and get a penang efx builder to rig it up for me. it is also buffer since my wick is rigged with opb-3
ooh i know that guy. i ever contacted him to try and clone and downsize one of my fuzzes. he warned me that it would be a costly job, but i dont think he realised the value of the pedal... in the end it didnt go through cos i decided to go for another fuzz anyway. maybe i should have a custom mosfet boost / clean blend pedal made. i kind of like how those things sound.

i might put up for sale the blue color custom blender. coz i need to build another blender/ooper top-mounted similar to the LS-2.

i got new lobang for 'boutique' pedal maker

www.zcatpedals.com

pedals handmade but dunno if he can do custom orders. can try

prices quite cheap for his stock pedals and the euro is damn low, about S$1.80 per euro. shipping oso cheap, 9 euro worldwide, shipping per pedal goes down if u order more. i plan to get the poly-octaver 2. polyphonic octave up/down, chorus, reverb for 99 euro. microPOG can suck my balls

omgwtfbbq want the Poly-Octaver 2. micropog seriously GG. the thing is, are these things tested and proven for bass? there doesn't seem to be any info whatsoever anywhere.

GAS inducing!!~ especially the chorus + delay + hold.

with that kind of infinite hold function, it has to be digital effect, no choice. sampling rate is 32kHz. i would say okay, since Boss digital pedals are normally lower sampling rate like 22kHz. but i guess if he uses 44kHz or 96kHz it would make the pedal more expensive and more drain on the battery, but i guess the difference is not audible anyway.

yeah his delays are quite sick. but they are more than what i can probably handle.

the poly octaver description says "It allows you to create a sound of 12-string guitar, 8-string bass" so i guess bass is good. its digital and polyphonic so i'd expect the tracking to be perfect. there has been some word of his pedals on talkbass, but very very little. the guy is from latvia if im not mistaken.

if u combine order shipping is slightly cheaper lah,
1 pedal -10eur (S$17.55)
2 pedals - 12eur ($21.06)
3 pedals - 15eur
so u save a few bucks. yeah the euro is in shambles now, time for us to rape europe.

i am good to go anytime. if anyone wants to commando just sound out.

i actually wanted to pull the trigger on a source audio bass distortion but its more expensive and i have this overseas trip coming up. but these babies are cheaper so i thought what the heck. past few weeks damn busy man, i got no time to play, i sold off alot of gear to bring in new stuff but have been delaying them.
