I'm wondering how to cover in part, the role of a rhythm guitarist as my band is a 1 bass, 1 guitar, 1 keys band. Wondering if more distortion and thicker bass is good for providing the rhythm?

depends on what kind of songs you guys are playing .. a thicker bass may work .. but the creativity of the line is more important ..

I'm not too sure about entwhistle, but I'm just covering the rhythm tracks, so it really has to be rock solid and takes up all the little bits of space in the sound spectrum that's not exploited by the guitars and samples.

he had a really guitar like sound distortion. initially thought it was guitar.

i'm also kinda looking for that tone. i guess it's OD. but most ODs take away the lows..

i never regretted the Octabass ... i'd be more than happy to keep it if i could ... but my next investment would render the Octabass a little obsolete in my arsenal .. =)

it's nice! i like it a lot but havent found the time to really have a play with all the different settings, but it can do quite a fair bit -) plus, it's purple in colour, saves space and takes one into orbit!

well, PM me, i'm on the south west vivo city area of things if you wanna have a go. either way, i'm also casualling at ebenex music till feb 10th and my stuff is there most times..

Its a custom unit stemming from the VFB-2 design. Its a looper/blender with impedance load adjuster. Very useful for my active and passive bass changes.
