Apparently only me like it! :D

oh!!! .. i love G&L too .. their tone is niceeeeee .. but slapping proved a little tough cos the strings keep getting stuck to the magnet .. tried it at Yamaha not too long ago ..

Yeap L-2000.

Exin: i had to lower the pickups quite a bit to avoid that sticky situation you mentioned. And the tone is still ok, and the individual pole pieces can be adjusted height-wise. I'm sure the intonation isnt compromised.

wow .. i never really like to keep my pickups so far from the pickups .. but recently i had to do some adjustments on my Warmoth cos i keep getting this garbled sound as i play higher and higher and it gets worse higher and higher . i figured must be the strings .. but i'll lower the pickups anyway and it worked .. the tone didn't really change that much .. output just a little lower compared to the past setup, but i like the way it is now .. at least i can dig in a little more ..

Somehow for the L-2000, little or no difference with the pickups lowered. I think the magnets can cause brain tumours if i play it too long!

Yamaha.
