superkicky: samples will come soon. my guitarist currently has posession of one of the onespot adapters and the analog chorus. just to tease, the big muff to chorus makes some of the craziest feedback sounds man. thinking of getting rid of the direct drive and ts9 and getting either the bass drive or hematoma. since i use them as an od and boost respectively. how's your bass drive and just wondering, why are u selling it?
vanga: haven't had the chance to try the bassballs russian. go to talk bass, i'm sure they have lots of talk comparing them both. for the american, i find it very unique sounding in a good way. it goes really well into the big muff giving the fuzz more of an erm... quacky sound (for lack of better word) think of hysteria by muse. not as flexible as i would like it due to the 2 internal pots being well... internal. looking to give goose or blueark some business by asking them to rehouse it when i get the funds. overall a good investment if you like slap or weird bass sounds. only thing to watch out for is the volume boost and the slightly muddier tone coming out of the pedal.
ahkiatt: the squishy is a very transparent compressor. no tone alteration and the squish is very subtle. not really versatile in the sense that you can't get the massive squash that you can hear in the early jamiroquai albums. it's purely there to balance your dynamics. i'd recommend it to any bass player who wants to get a compressor for that purpose. the gain and squish level are related so you need to spend some time to find the right amount for both. i'm pretty new to the pedal thing so my vocab of describing tones is not as good as the pros like 3notesAbar who i got the squishy from second hand.
