Coming soon with a mint pickguard!

Yes it would... if I could actually take it out of the many layers of packing peanuts and bubble wrap in the box it's in ;)

Hey guys, i've been in the forum for quite a while, read and learnt alot of stuff. Here's a pic of my custom bass, I bought it from a friend who started playing 5'ers instead. specs are

4-string Nec-thru-body construction
24-frets
34" Scale
Solid Brass bridge and nut
4 inline Japan made machine-heads
Pearl dot inlays
DiMarzio Ultra Jazz (Bridge)
DiMarzio Split-P (Middle)
DiMarzio Model One (Neck)
1 Volume
1 Subwoofer Volume
1 3-way pickup selector

I'm always gassing for more bass' but after i pick up my baby to play i realise that she's probably all that i need.

Just want to share, sorry for the lousy pic  [/img]

Wow... yeah you can probably cover most things with that bass! Nice! You should get a 5-way switch installed, then you can have more pickup combinations :)

currently the 3 way switch is only for P, P+J and J alone, with a seperate volume knob for the woofer, i quite like this current setup, as the woofer does get a little boomy, but if blended properly it sounds quite good. Still playing around with it to find out what sound i like, personally i don't think i really like the J pickup alone, sounds a little thin, but i blend it with the woofer a little and it sounds more 'meaty'

whoooaaa.. haha, i think your friend who designed it has OCD? *grin* three different pups on that baby... *heh*

Imagine if the bass was parquet like your floor and your floor was like your bass, now that's a thought!

Burl Walnut, who cares I have parquet...I mean come on if you're in the 18 - 30 age range you will definitely have lived in or are living in a house with at least one parquet-floored room.

I'm interested to know what the J+Woofer will sound like...don't think anybody's tried that before. Do you split the signal? Imagine if you had 3 outputs; one for each pickup then you ran it thru Brian's (Litford) pedalboard.

Very unique bass.

well my friend made it that way with 3 pickups, heh i guess he wanted to get a wide variety of sounds and he definitely acheived that. No the signal is not splitted as i only have one output jack. The model 1 together with the J sounds quite good to my ears, the model 1 gives it more 'meat', while the J accentuates the higher notes, i find it lacking a bit of mid though, but still sounds good. i don't really use the J pickup that much, prefer the p sound. but its still a good option to have.

Glad you all like the bass, having so many ppl say nice things about my bass helps me to fight off GAS.

? me? no ar.. i've never had a 5 string bass, nor have i a sheehan model. I would like to have a yamaha attitude though.
