The 13th Soft Drum Xchange Singapore
15th August (Saturday) 2009, 12-4pm at Geylang East Public Library - Merpati Hall, 3rd floor

What is Drum Xchange?

The objective of Drum Xchange Singapore is to

- Promote the exchange of drumming knowledge, drumming techniques, drums and drum equipment

- Identify and nurture drum talent in Singapore

- Welcome all regardless of race, language, religion, gender and music genre.





Programme/Highlights

(1) Drummer Highlight/Showcase - We invite local professional drummers/drum teachers and get them to share with us their insights, experiences and answer questions.


(2) Drum Xchange - Attendees are invited to share their own drumming tips or knowledge with the rest.


(3) Free Play - Everyone is welcome and given a chance to sit on the drumset to play!


(4) Drum Battle -If 2 drumsets are available, drummers may play in tandem with each other.


(5) Question & Answer - Drummers here can share and ask for information and tips on drumming.


(6) Gear Review/Talk - Quite a number of drummers will bring their own drums and drum equipment. For the rest, it is a chance to review or try them and also get feedback from other drummers.


(7) Cymbal/Drum Workshop - Our resident "cymbalsmiths" and custom drum experts - Fu Man (drum_hobbyist) and myner may accept your request and modify your drum gear. Subject to very limited availability!

Yes this is a very very Convenient Place at central of Singapore.

Note: - James –

(1) Can you checked with them - if we are allowed to keep our DXS’s Drum Kit at this Venue (so we need not carry the Kit, in and out as it is Bulky)? And that it be Safe (no one is allowed to used it – and only for DXS - - and ideally we can have a Store-room under Lock and Keys for us to house our Drums) there
(2) If Yes – Can we put 2 Sets of Drums there?
