I just had the Tesla Plasma single coils installed in my Fender Strat 60th Anniversary Standard. The sound is now much more pleasing to my ears, unlike the trebly tex mex pickups They really sound awesome and at a good price for a set of 3!

Thanks to Mike for recommending to me..if ur looking for tat modern single coil tones, go for plasma..anything vintage from the 50s,go for the VR-1..: )

Hi Faizal...guess what I did to the TexMex pups I bought from you...

...that's right. Absolutely nothing. I was bought on the idea of trying the Tesla pups instead. So I had the Tesla Plasma set installed...and my Highway One never sounded so good! Woohoo!

My strat really sounds pleasing to my ears..korean made but can rival the duncans in terms of quality n price : )

from what i tried, the plasma and VR single coil sets, they are not stacked little humbuckers like the SDs mentioned. these alnico 5s preserve single coil twang.

the plasma output is on par to a SDS-1 (super dist single), brilliant clean tones on amp's clean channel and super low hum emitted on positions 1,3,5 in gain.

so if you have a 5-way selector switch you just dont use positions 2 & 4? :lol:
how good does it sound with gain?

i'm refering to the hum being really soft on gain in positions 1,3,5. position 2 n 4 are hum cancelling

the plasmaI set, i love the eq voicing and response of this pickups. The bass/mid/treble is brilliant. its installed on the new Timber strat, go and try it for yourselves.
