tension rod break?

yeah got a old guitar. the last string, even if i set the the action high, it still buzz at almost every fret. so i decided to adjust the tension rod. the weird thing is no matter how many rounds i turn, it doesnt change, and the tension rod the ally key head area, is so loose tat i can even use my finger to turn it. i wonder wat happen to it, izzit possible to repair it?

also im thinking of refinishing this guitar, i wonder izzit possible tat after sanding off the paint, can i juz leave the guitar in the natural wood colour? or i muz apply oil to it?

If u break ur truss rod, then byebye... The other option is a neck reset which is expensive.

If the guitars is not too valuable, why dun u opt for a new one instead
