Anyone tried them out? Any opinions? My fav has got to be the Blonde one. Nice Fender amp tone, esp when played with a Strat. Hehe. :)

i was this close to getting a tech 21 british. but i ended up with a DLS.

i've not tried one before. but i've read up that the character series works better plugged direct into an audio interface. therefore speaker simulation is always on.

ive tried a sansamp GT2... i have a clone of it from a boutique pedal maker.. hehe he modd it and give it an additional mid EQ..
i love it... really flexible from clean to overdrive... from overdrive to heavy overdrive and a distortion

bro eclipze,

i thk the GT2 is not the character series.

GT2 have been around for quite sometime.

The character series are actually preamps.

there are a total 4 of them

1) British - a marshall preamp
2)Blonde - a fender preamp
3) California - a mesa preamp
4) Liverpool - a vo preamp

: )

hope this helps to clarify.

kichijiro...they are similar in design (electronics) to the GT2... ;)

icic

thx fer the enlightenment. bro gsonique

didnt know bout that. ( Coz i know nuts bout the electronics design thingy)

So U meant GT 2 is an earlier version of the new character series?

sorry bout that bro eclipze.

Yes ....its based on the same concept and tweaked to mimic differant amp types.
Why sell one pedal that does it all where you can tweak to specific and get variety ...
check it out
