sweelee's customer service SUCKS!!!

I called the sweelee branch +65 6-846 3610... @ ard 6.45 i asked when is the end of year sales.. he said i dun knw and hang the phone... i still have questions to ask regarding the pearl rhythm traveler.. so rude of him. Unlike other reatail store that i've called they would atleast say 'thanks for calling'....
 
u shouldnt have ask abt the swee lee sale. of course they will not tell u when is it. However i think it is kinda rude to hang up just like that...

I assumed you called the Sims Drive showroom... Some people there are like that.
 
^ not too sure bout that. maybe its just one particular staff ba... cos couple of days back i called and a lady (or girl?) was entertaining my every question regarding the avril lavigne telecaster. price la, quantity remaining la, discount price until when la..

well, didnt get her name, though it sure made part of my day, having such good customer service.

so, to the thread starter, dont let one bad experience change your total opinion of them k? maybe he's just having a bad day, or just got a good bollocking from his boss.. and though its not acceptable in terms of customer service, he's human too.. so dun be too harsh on the fella ya?

i think it's high time we should STOP calling the store just merely to ask for the sale date. if there is any, SL will announce it here/ @ their website. the onus is on us to get ready for one.

not taking sides on this but we shouldn't be dismissive of the store's service (it could be any store) based on an isolated incident.

i bet so many people are calling them to ask them about the sale, and i think the sale is up to the management to decide, not the workers in the showroom.just dont ask abt the sale, they will tell you when there is one.

also, dont let one bad experience change the whole view of swee lee's service, i have received rather good service from them over the years. dont be so narrow-minded.;)
 
Just went there yesterday. The service there was VERY helpful. Keep letting me try out so many amps and didn't mind when I asked too many questions about it as well

They ARE having some promotions on now. They offfered me a Roland Cube at 40% off

I agreed with you. I have received good service from a certain staff. Since then, I always call her to check on prices and such. But to call them to check for a possible sale isn't a right thing to do.
 
sounding rude and hanging up on a customer is definitely a nono for me regardless of what the customer asks or how unreasonable he/she is.

It really does portray the image of the company. I have to admit that i have very extreme experiences at swee lee...some are really excellent....some are really left to be desired...

i guess inconsistency between staff is the issue

The rude auntie will make you decide order Seymour Duncan directly from USA instead of getting it from them in Peninsula :mrgreen:
 
URGH. Davis broke my whammy bar ytd. It was already jammed (i didn't know thought) then while they were showing me an amp (they used my guitar to show it off) they broke the whammybar

had to buy a new bridge in the end... T.T
 
theliverevolution: they didn't offer to pay for it?? jeez. also your roland cube deal is not a special offer. it's always been 40% off boss and roland products, off the list price that is much higher than what they go for usually.

edit: i agree with ryanZ, you should demand that they pay for the damages or replace it at their expense.

They broke it and didnt replace a new one for you? You have the right to demand a replacement!
 
Yep, Davis super bo-chup. I'm like in my late adulthood, not some young punk. Even dressed in my office attire, looking spiffy and all... asked abt the limited edition high end stuff. They can just brush me off like I can't afford the stuff! Anyway, no loss to them lah.... I buy my stuff here in SOFT anyway.
 
I've stopped buying from Swee Lee years ago (when they were still at Plaza Singapura).
The CS sucks then and it sucks now. Ocassionally i just go in for a look-see to drool on the guitars!
Davis' CS is much to be desired too.

City Music has top-notch CS imo. They get my two-thumbs up!
When the nut on my whammy bar broke and they didnt have a spare, they took a display set of the same make and disassembled it just so that they can get the same nut. All this was done in less than an hour. Gtr was still under warranty.

They then apologised cos the nut was not of the same color (silver i.o. black but I dont really care) and also for the waiting time.

Guys, no apologies needed cos I was as happy as a clam! You have my unreserved support and I'm always happy to part with my money there!
