Support Local Music on Radio!

hey all,

i just visit ronin website and got some info. their single is out and playing on radio! I think as local music lovers, if you're a fan (like me!) or just casual listener, or if you're in a rock band yourself, should take the time to vote! The more popular local music gets, more people hear and like it, the better for all of us! Good exposure = better, bigger scene, better bigger gigs!!! The scene has grown well this past 2 year with Electrico and ugly in the morning on radiol. So let's rally and support and vote for the local music we all believe in! I vote not just cause I'm a fan of Ronin, but I vote for LOCAL MUSIC! I know I don't wanna hear Ashlee Simpson or Jissica Simpson or whatever be the voice of OUR NATION. Let us be our own voices on radio! Let's not take it for granted others will vote but do our part and support!

...try listening to 89.7fm for a change...u`ll b surprised coz there`s no Ronin...no Electrico....but actually lotsa great local bands` music playing on-air.....

hey yo peeps. Every saturday on 98.7fm , theres a programme called HOME
Daniel Ong will play an hr of local music only . i mean LOCAL and what is cool is that , he welcome demos/ep/albumns from any of u local bands/musicians/composers out there to send it to him.

i forgot abt the details or the address to mail but do check it out, and show him ur talent and if he likes it ,he'll play it !

Riding the wave.

When a surfer goes surfing, his performance need the wave to make it better. If there is no wave that day, all he could do is paddle and have a tan.

If we spot a good surfer riding on a good wave, why not make it better and provide him the perfect wave?

* i am not a surfer, terms used might be wrong but the idea is there.

Dirt got a point. I told this to Ronin as well that for Ronin to grow bigger than they are, they need more of others to move up. But Dirt, you got to give it time!

it starts with a few, then comes the rest, see?
if we support electrico/ronin for now, then the media/etc will give more attention to OTHER bands. if the scene doesn't even support each other, then the media will just see it as a failed investment. Think of the big picture! The more local bands who 'make it' it just changes public perception which helps everyone. And also, both Elec and Ronin work full time for their exposure. it really is up to us. If you're in a band and ONLY care about your own band, then die die lor. we only end up playign to our friends and some of their friends too. if wanna work towards international exposure, start now. support, and then climb up also! it's the smart way for us all

oh yes, also, they did play other local bands today also. Serenade - Katong girl, or something like that. And i heard other local stuff all day, so Dirt if you wanna help you can also vote for 'em! be proud of local music whatever the case and support, not just criticze and point point. but support and take active support! the opportunity is there for you to take. media will only listen and push if everyone makes their voice heard.
