does string spacing gives alot of difference to playing?... i realised wwhen my string spacing becomes abit further.. ii tend to sweep better, play better.. i changed my olp jp nut because it worn out and i have a larger spacing now.. discuss.

also.. the line of olp jp models have a straight headstock like those of strats so the g string will keep popping out when u play hard.. i added a string tree so it pulls down.. aand doesnt pop out anymore.. anyone has this guitar should try it..

bro- much of it is psychological, really 8)

however, there is merit in opting for a more spaced-out string placement when one is sweep-inclined namely because the fretting fingers can feel the individual string isolation. when it's too narrow (eg: Gibson profile), the strings sometimes get in the way, because they are closer. narrower necks for me are more catered for bends & vibrato techniques.

this is why, prolific sweep-maestros prefer wider necks: Ibanez is definitely recommended. Frank Gambale was at his very best during his Ibanez years...

string spacing affects alot in my opinion. but i guess it depends on which u are better accustomed to.

after playing jacksons for a long time, i tried fender strats and schecters with smaller spacings and i picked the wrong strings sometimes as well as miss on some bends.
