bro... nv to let anything affect u.... some guitarist are blind.. but it doesnt stop them from playing... :) u need to find a comfortable way to place ur fingers... and start really slowly.. sweep picking for u now is gonna be damn hard.. need damn lots of practice to master it...

and yeah... gotta adjust ur tone... its way too EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKK.....

You mentioned in your video that you recorded ur video by linking ur amp to ur computer.

Try to avoid that way of recording, cos it will lead to 'clipping' of your sound signal, which is why your sound is so high-pitched. Just record it using ur video camera microphone will be good.

wow dude, have you been playing the guitar with that finger stance since forever? you need to change your hand positions when you play certain stuffs, no wonder you have "problems".

aside from the...crappy tone, sorry. it is pretty decent for a beginner. also, try and palm mute better :) and work on that galloping as well...both of which (palm muting and galloping) are very essential for metal.

well, my thumb's the same as yours. the same problem. but thats not a big deal. just practice dude. (: yeah, practice. takes months, maybe years.

I Don't know whether some of you are also having "disabled" hand like me..

Problems having so far while playing guitar:

Lack of strength
Pinkie is as if reserved(never used but only when playing power chords.)
Tired easily..
Sweep picking(never gonna make it.)

Flexible fingers have nothing to do with whether you should or should not play the guitar. It's all about discipline and focus. (Of course talent is important too, but that's a secondary issue)

Your problems aren't real problems. That's what most new guitarists experience.

Not everyone uses their pinkies. Yngwie Malmsteen rarely uses his pinkies for scales... (surprising huh?) Mainly 3 fingers. Eric Clapton doesn't use his pinkie much, except for chords. It's technique that matters here. once you can play comfortably using 3 fingers, the pinky is a bonus. But still not entirely necessary.

Getting tired easily has to do with acid build ups at joints. This is NORMAL. When you don't excercise often, and you try to jog, the same happens to your knees and ankles. It's a matter of stamina.

Sweep Picking. This is a technique which some people NEVER get. I've been playing for longer than some people on this forum have been alive, and I've NEVER been able to sweep. But that's not hampering my enjoyment of playing. Listen to my clips in the soundclick link in my siggy. Does it sound as if I cannot play because I can't sweep? (No, I can't play simply because I have no talent...) If you really want to learn this technique, then keep at it, but remember that it shouldn't deter you fom learning OTHER techniques.

So, just plug in, and play away...

^ maybe u can try string skippings .
if think he wans to sweep due to the fact he covers that a7x band , try listening to other stuff too .

how old are you dude?
i used to have flexible fingers like yours. The ability to bend my fingers at 180.Look scary huh? This way before i play the guitar in my teens.

I picked up guitar in my mid teen, after somtime,i found that i cant bend my left fingers to 180 anymore.Only 90...I still can do the 180 on my right fingers.

Now in my mid 20s,i cant do the 180 on both fingers anymore.
I think its about practicing the right way on the guitar.Like how you hold the guitar neck,frets...And also dont bend your fingers often. Its bad.I believe it wil straighten back when you grow a little older.I cant remeber what is this syndrome called.

yo bro Faizalhacker...

not to worry of the fingers man...
mine are the same as urs. seriously... i dun have straight fingers and they can bend like no1 business. i dun find it difficult at all to play the guitar.
take ur time la. dont go to fast till want to sweep like malmsteen or gambale la.
do more finger exercises everyday. strenghten the joints.
by the time u noe it, u are able to hold on the note nicely. tats important too.

steady pom pee pee one

i mean. that if you train for hours. but some people who plays guitar. but gets bored after a moment or so. might take some time. so those who has passion, will push themselves. tho when at first you play it slow. it might get boring. like if you try sweeping. everything you have to try it slow, once you get the hang of it. you can try faster. (:

if you got bored after sometime, why consider playing a guitar?
it's not just a normal hobby you pick up guitar and play like some real player can sweep and stuffs like how malmsteen play and get bored after awhile thus putting a guitar away?
to me that's a real shame.

first thing to help u do a simple pratise for all your fingers like go from 1st 2nd 3rd 4th fre on each string and back or something this helps alot if u do daily and ur thumb i think your pushing alot...
