stomp box for me

for me, i can judge if a sound's coming from a tube amp or not...
well thats by hearing the amp right in front of me, maybe not in a huge live gig or something,

but tube sound doesnt = best metal tone.
in fact some solid state amps make real kickass distortions.. some. whereas tube amps meant for clean sounds may sound like heaven on light OD, but not fantastic on high gain..

then comes mesa but oh well u want a pedal right?

bro whitestrat... i rly wanna know.. is ur mt2 totally stock?

tube tone...funny...
when i compare a hot british and crunch box
sound different
(both sound good)
when i compare a tonebone classic and crunch box
classic sound bad to mi (maybe i dunno how to set it)
when i compare a tubezone and hot british
(i prefer my hot british)
contridicting i know... but end of the day, tube in an effect to me dun realli matters as long u like the distortion sound...suay what if during jamming or gig my tube in my hot british burst how...
(just sayin...please dun burst!!)

sorry to hijack , but what pedals give the marshall tone , i have a jackhammer but when i run it into amps at gigs , i dont get the sound i want , i sound better in my bedroom with my stacks than at gigs

I heard that the Fulltone GT500 gives a Marshall kinda tone... Doesn't have enough gain for modern metal, though. Its a dual-drive - an overdrive and distortion in one pedal with two separate footswitches.

the crunchbox if you like the jcm900 sound.

to ts, i recommend the tubezone. one of the best pedals i' ve ever tried and played and had the pleasure of owning.

Besided the Crunchbox, the Punchtone I believe is a much more worthy competitor..
Then you've got the Japanese DS-1 which is terrific for rhythm, for that Marshall tone..
For versatility, I'd say the Punchtone or the HBE Big 'D' Distortion..

eh ized , wanna help me set my jackhammer again , i re aligned the order of my pedals

im rather busy on weekdays as i reach home around 8 on the average but i'll try to see when i can help you with it. gimme a call yeah?

contradicting? whats so contradicting about it?

the irony is the tubezone is zilch tubes while the tonebone has one. plus it being 3 times the size of the tz, and with its own special adapter.

the tonebone sounds more marshally to me while the tubezone more of a 5150 of mesa kinda vibe.

Exactly! Massive, heavy tone that makes you believe you're going through a 4x12" cab! Yet it is great even at low gain settings.. Its the kind of pedal you wouldn't mind having several on one board, just for different settings!

yeah bro...i just got one and im hooked! the high gain tones are awesome....but i really love the low gain tones as well...super touch sensitive dynamic and singing....especially with the neck single coil of my strat!

Wish i had something so i could switch settings halfway though....would be darn useful!
