notice the publicity for this KPE has been quite aggressive. at the orchard mrt tunnel walls, on the roads and now theyve got a website too. Why so much publicity for an expressway????

Why the immense publicity?
INVITE TO USE THE ROAD? haha I bet it's either because:
1) They realised that the expressway is long and will take a longer time than other routes.
2) They want to show off their achievement.

C'mon,if people don't need to use the road. Then no need right?
Still pondering about the publicity for just a piece of road and making it appear so hip to travel through there.

the whole idea of publicity is to make ppl aware of it. so we're in a music forum talking about a few km of tar.

LTA is damn freaking worried that NOBODY will use their state-of-the-art multi million dollar expressway lah. 'aggressive' advertising? try 'desperation' advertising. they are under so much pressure to improve traffic, but because they are too dumb to implement something useful, they just shine bright lights on the first half-baked idea that they decide to throw money into. you heard of 'when you pay peanuts, you get monkeys' right? in this case when you hire monkeys, pay lotsa money, you get a glorified "few km of tar"

my guess is not that the kpe won't get unused, quite the opposite in fact. its just mainly to generate awareness to ease traffic conditions immediately rather than to have a 'wait and see' approach.

their corp comms dept surely has a big budget in having this blitz.
