So.....some asked? - Why a Slogan is Required Here for Soft Drummers.
(1) The Soft’s Drummer’s Exchange is now coming to it’s 7th Monthly Meetup and the Committee of Soft’s Drummers Exchange feels that it is really now the time to Create An Identity for us all drummers coming to the Soft’s Drum Exchange.
(2) An Identity/Image is very important to us all here – as it depicts and differentiate us as to where we (Soft’s Drummers Exchange Activities Are Heading Towards – Our Direction and Objectives in Singapore).
(3) The Slogan is our Identity. It is what we communicate and wants the drummers & public to sees us – what’s Soft Drummers and Soft’s Drummer’s Exchange are all about at the end of the day – It’s an Image (Perceived or Real), and thus very crucial to us all – Ownership here belongs to each & everyone of our Soft drummers here.
(4) The Slogan must inevitably synergise with Soft’s Drummer Exchange Objective, and hopefully Marco enough to cover what we all are trying to achieved now and the future.
(5) Soft Music has an Objective – Soft Drummer’s Exchange will have it’s own too – different in it’s functionality to a certain degree yet similar towards a common objective at the end of day.
We have been having Monthly Soft’s Drummers Exchange, but what is it really all about from the start ? – the Sharing of drumming experience & knowledge of course among us drummers within Soft beside trying to achieve the buildling of relationship and bonding drummers in Singapore as a closely knitted community of Drummers altogether – that’s great, and we are heading towards the right direction – but we need to do more if we want the drumming community to grow from here.
Soft Drummers Exchange set the initial impetus for us all to push Drumming forward as a Shared Passion together as a Family Of Drummers….but it’s currently only restricted to Existing Drummers who knows about SOFT MUSIC & SOFT DRUMMERS.
What about those that have not heard about Soft or doesn’t comes visit Soft’s Forum ?, also, what about those Potential Drummers who wanted to drum (but have nobody to share knowledge & passion with currently as yet), and most importantly – What about we ourselves here????? - - - Yes we drum, but it is also not uncommon for Drummers to laid back and stop drumming totally after a while (of course there are many personal reasons to this cause) – but the biggest single problem is – Unable to Sustain The Drumming Interest – They are unable to sustain the Passion, the interest towards drumming (though they are good) because there is a lack of Motivation & Inspiration…….If we as Drummers ourselves cannot motivate ourselves here – whatmore and how can we motivate & inspire others into this area of Drumming…….so – The Soft Drummers Exchange fit in here as core to “Sustainabilty” so that through Drum Exchange we can motivate and inspire one another that is so required today.
Basically – We also wanted to Acquire New Drummers who have a desire/interest to drums by helping them join this community of drummers “Soft Drummer Exchange” through making them aware of our group and objectives.
Most importantly – As mentioned – Towards Retaining & Sustaining that Very Drumming Within Ourselves which is easier said than done - …. Uplifting the Drumming Spirit of each other here.
The Soft’s Drummers Exchange has evolve from a building stage (like any evolution process) that we are now moving towards another next stage – as we put it into practice with common direction of aspiring to build up this Drumming Community in Singapore. Of course initially we cannot afford to do too much too soon when we 1st started unless we Soft’s Drummers (as a whole) are ready.
Since we are taking the road less traveled here we have to strengthen our core pillar (1) which we are already doing it on a regular monthly basis – Organising & Improving Activities Within Soft’s Drummers Meetup and learning to managing a Drummers entire experience within Soft Meetup and we love it (2) Building up of all Drummer’s Profile coming to Soft Drummers Exchange - because Soft recognizes each and every drummers here as an assets so necessary here to help grow and nature the Drumming Community and acknowledging that we are all unique and have different values towards drumming.
We (the committee) do not know if we will achieve what we are trying to accomplish – but we will try hard as long as there is dedication among us and we hope succeess along the roadmap with alignment among drummers towards sharing the same Direction, Attitude, Beliefs and a Drumming Culture here in Soft that we cannot demand but yet can influence.
Soft’s Drummers Exchange will be the “ideal vehicle” and we hope to make it happens here to create the . . dynamics, culture and Healthy Spirit of Drumming in Singapore and we do really need to communicate this. We hope to be having different project on this common area soon – Building Identity for Soft Drummers & Soft’s Drummer Exchange. We need to build the views and perceptions of what other sees us as . . . . Soft’s Drummers and A Community Of Drummers Here In Singapore.
The Committee (with Soft) will be looking at and working towards collaboration/partnership with other organization (related to drummings) on this drumming area. This allows the initiative from here (building a Closer Drumming Community) to move forward and at the same time enables the adaptability so required for the continuous fine-tunning of Soft’s Drummer’s Exchange process and practices into our Drumming For Differentiation here in a way as a non-profit activities group
Where Can Our Slogan & Identity/Icon/Logo Be Placed.(Crazy Ideas again) – but just put on our thinking cap – and contribute – what works what doesn’t due to reasons or so – can be thrash out later.
(1) Drum Resonants – Soft Drummer’s Exchange (with Soft Logo) and (Sponsor Name) – we hope to have 2 Kit by a year from our 1st meetup.
(2) Soft’s Drum Exchange Banners (2pcs) – look for sponsors later-on with James
(3) T-Shirts (front - Soft Logo with the word - Drummer) (rear – The Slogan) – Individual goes to the same (Soft T-Shirt Maker as Contracted by Soft with best prices) – where we try out (S M L EL sizes) – the t-shirt maker will inprint a Standard Identity for us all – hopefully when the Slogan is up – we get the T-Shirt Maker to come to Soft Meetup – so we can try & test the sizes, pay them directly and get our Tees later
(4) Wah – u want Name Card – “Soft Drummers” = Full Name & Details in front – Rear Of Card Slogan and – some other wordings?.
Hahahahaha …that’s just what I can think of?….now we need your inputs and lets make things happens and happening for drumming here in Singapore brothers & sisters.
