to me I feel that the Ibanez RG series was a very sucessful zhng-ed up version of a stratocaster. very strat shaped, thats why its easy for a strat user to get used to a RG quickly. the only difference is the neck profile but I'm sure players will get used to it after some practice.
have you guys tried an Ultra (J Customs) or even a Wizard II ( regular production RG's) neck? I mean, their profiles are thicker so we shouldnt really complain about how thin Ibanez necks are. I for one love the feel Ultra neck. if you have the chance, I say try one!
some Ibanez guitars are works of art. JEMDNA2k, Jem10th, most J Customs. I mean, they are already winners with such great visuals on them. even a guy who doesnt play guitar would like to own one just to hang on his wall as a decoration. I mean why not? if people can pay $5000 on a painting, why cant they pay that kinda price for something that looks nice and you can take it down from time to time to play ( or just pretend to play in this case

) . thats why some people are starting to collect Ibanez guitars as there are so many nice guitars to choose from.
Ibanez caters to all. from the poor to the rich, they've got it all covered with their range of guitars. from the gio to the J customs or even the limited edition signature series.
however, I must admit that Ibanez is heading down the more "business minded" path. thats why they discontinued their legendary Edge and Lo-Pro edge bridges and replaced them with their Edge Pro bridges. not that its bad, just not as good. however, I feel that Ibanez guitars are consistant in quality in terms of the wood they use for their bodies. I've never heard a crappy sounding Ibanez thats fitted with SDs or Dimarzios.
I like every single Ibanez guitar thats hanging in the store. well, maybe just because I like Ibanez guitars  .
