I'm here to clarify some stuff and please refer to this post for a reference.

Flamers Post: http://soft.com.sg/forum/guitar-buy-sell/131654-fs-jackson-custom-shop-usa-sl2h-soloist-beware.html

My Post: http://soft.com.sg/forum/guitar-buy-sell/131600-fs-jackson-custom-shop-usa-sl2h-soloist.html

I've been dealing quite often in the used market for quite some time now to offload my stuff.. And i believe loads of people here that have dealt with me have realised that i'm a really honest and genuine dealer whether i'm buying or selling.
I'm pretty pissed of with 2 main facts (lets ignore that he posted such a post on the buy/sell forum just to emphasise the fact that i'm a dishonest/selling stuff on the up WITH no background from me whatsover)

1. Why am i the victim here? For one, heres the story, i traded my cij 57' strat which was fully upgraded etc.. with a trade value of $1k. I indeed met the french guy that he mentioned, he told me he was moving back to france and hence needed a quick deal. I TOPPED UP considerably for it and heres the stuff he told me: He got it from France for 2.5k euros. Lets face this rationally, who wouldnt believe a guy who speaks french etc.. telling you that he indeed bought this for that price back in his hometown?
I mean lets look at it this way, why didnt chae post a "beware" ad for that french guy as well?

2. Aren't we allowed to place our prices on our own accord? (James please verify this) I'm in no way trying to dupe someone nor am i selling a fake Jackson. If i'm pricing it at 3k, you would have guessed how much i've probably paid for it. Custom shop or not, i believe we all have our rights in this forum and i certainly do not go around posting beware or do-not-buy threads around.

Fret buzzing issue etc? I believe it has been rectified by Malcolm.

Thanks for hearing me out, i believe i need to clarify this from my side due to the fact that some accusations have been misplaced. Comeon, me being a shady and dishonest seller when chae doesnt even know me?

I'd appreciate some feedback and for people that have dealt with me - vouching for me now would clearly be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

P.S. Is such a thread even allowed on the buy/sell forum?

To clarify this, the guy didnt speak french - else i wouldnt understand.

He spoke English in a french accent.

hey bro...
dun feel victimise....
anyway i are much worse than u...
i bought a guitar from one of the members...
and sianz...
i bought at a very high price...
blame it on myself nv check the price...
and yeah.. =[

After thinking about it, it is clearly leaning towards the fact that someone is selling his guitar for a much higher price than what he sold.

This guitar i believe has been reasonably priced and i will post up more details when i post an ad in future.. Stuff like ebay comparison prices etc..

For the record, if chae has done one thing right for me (a blessing in disguise). Its probably the fact that he has clearly given me more background info - My jackson being a top model and pre fender eraed.

Firstly : If his facts were wrong u should have pmed him.

Not make a thread about it.

Secondly :

It doesnt matter how much the originial owner sold it to the french guy

It doesnt matter where it was made.

It doesnt matter how much the french guy bought the jackson for.

Bob acquired it through fair means and thus making it his property. It is HIS RIGHT to sell at whatever price he deems fit.

Dont like it dont waste bandwith creating a tread in the buy sell section just to warn users.

From what i see it goes like this. To chae :

You bought the jackson. Sold it to the french dude. Bobster traded his guitar with the french dude. He acquired the jackson. Now he wants to sell it.

Who gives a shit where the Jackson was made in/how much u paid for it? Hes the new owner not you. Even if it was made in China and hes selling it at 8.9k how would it affect you?

nah i think the TS is NOT wrong here. as the rightful owner of the guitar, he has the right to set his price. to the so called "original owner" of the guitar, it would be best to PM him instead of posting a warning thread. cos... let me ask you, how can you be so sure that the piece he was selling originally belongs to you?

on a side note, im getting sick of the buy/sell section these days. i do check back once in a while for a good deal, but all i see are reposts and reposts and reposts.

Thanks bro, well, i'm likely to pull out of this whole buy/sell season as well once i clear off my unused stuff since i've got my gear settled already as well..

Well, i'm really quite feddup with the fact that he accused me without even pming me or getting any info first as well. I mean, why didnt he check out what with the french guy first?

What i've given is 100% true and authentic facts from the previous owner (french guy).

What's wrong with Bobster selling it at the price he asked it for? As I've always said, if the price is too high nobody will buy it.

Chae probably jumped the gun here and didn't clarify details first before he posted.

Anyway, since Chae wanted to spill beans publicly, I believe it is Bobster's right to balance his side of the story and say what HE knows. It's only fair enough for him, if not people will be mistaken and accuse Bob of "scamming". Now we have already enough of scams so I think this post clears the airs up

yo bobster. chill man. stick and stones la. dont care what tt dude say la. he's juz hiding behind a computer screen. lol.

I think the problem is this "Bought for 2.5k Euros in France."
How much you want to sell it is your rights.
How much people actually willing to pay for it is another matter ... just like a 700 gibby

I'm sure he was just conveying what he was told by the previous seller. Yet I wouldn't take all his info and dump it in my ad without verification. But yeah chae shouldn't have called you out without saying anything to you.

Boon cannot blame chae cos in his mind, he is helping softies by informing us the real deal about the guitar. Although he should contact Bob via PM 1st.

I mean Bob thought the guitar was from France yada yada limited piece more yada cause he was told by the guy he traded with.

What if someone bought the guitar from Bob cause he though it is a limited piece and found out it is not?!

Another thread of "I've been scammed" will pop up.

nah... neber blame him. chae just makes it looks more interesting.
i totally agree with PM-ing bob thinghy. :)

can sum1 start a thread on 'how to complain/feedback/ask/kpo2 on items softies are selling?'

i think the root of all this misunderstanding lies with the french con-artist. he is the one to be shot. without his dishonesty n misinformation this kind of thing wont happen

The person you mentioned "the one to be shot" just posted his side of the story. He's even included the original Buy & Sell post he put up then.
