Smarvo Amps

These any good? I've played on my friend's one before and it sounded natural and sweet, Marshall-ish.

Just need more feedback so I can make time to get off work to test it hehe..

i borrowed one when i first started guitar.. it was a 2x10" 40w solidstate amp.

had a 3 band eq, and a pretty decent reverb and chorus side.

it had the worst 3 band eq i ever rmbed. the mids had to be zero cos anything other than zero sounded insanely unmusical. other than that i cant really rmb anything. too long ago. drive was alright i guess.

I used a big 100-watt Smarvo at a studio once. Tone-wise, I liked it actually, for both clean and distortion tones. But Smarvo amplifiers seem to have a bad reputation so perhaps someone who actually owns one of these could comment...

I have a 10 watt practice amp from them. Nadah, wouldn't reconmend that brand. It stinks!!

the problem with these type of Amps r, tonewise, they age very fast. I once been to a studio with two of the 100 watts 212s, new & they sound decent enough. went back there after a month & all sort of gremlins turn out. they hum, crackle & pop on BOTH d units. I tried both & just couldnt dial out the line noises..
