Slow hand blues

A great EC fan here. and I think he is probably one of the best around. Its just that his recent two albums seems to have a change of style. So I guess its a contantly changing process, if not people are going to get bored of him sooner or later

aye people's musical changes do change u know...take for example, steve vai. He used to like play hair metal in the 80s!?!

moreover, if u dun change, ppl criticise. one example is malmsteen.

his last two albums were - yukksss...I'm a BIG EC fan

when you said his last two albums were "yukksss" did u mean to include the Robert Johnson album was bad? cause personally as a big fan and blues guitarist it was awesome, it would be far from "yukksss".

EC's older stuff was really good, i especially loved the derek and dominoes music. However, i agree his latest album "Back Home" was quite "popish" but still, it grows on you. People get bored and often times change their style, for example From The Cradle was realy bluesy compared to Reptile, which was more "jazzy". Anyway anyone going to EC concerts in australia next year?

If I may add, the EC album that I like the best is the blues album. great tones and great licks. I can't really listen to any of his albums entirely except for this. I believe he is a great blues guitarist and a lot and can be learned from him but I don't think he has that "swagger" that SRV, jimi hendrix and rory gallagher have.
