SLAYER in S'pore (photos added in gallery)

i have my doubts abt it. i've checked the dates.

October 14th/15th 2006 Tokyo Loud Park Festival Japan

that's the only asian stop they're having. and before this, they are having a south american tour, then to japan then to their european tour... doesnt it sound damn FISHY?! dont tell me they wont rest?! and tickets sold at inokii? kinda fake. i believe this kind of things are sold at sistic outlets. i think we're getting phunked here. very doubtful. oh btw, there's no mention abt organisers too... REALLY DAMN FISH LAH. be prepared to get phunked.

i do hope they really stop here though.

before we all get hyper lets do a small analyis here. With all due respect, i'm hyped up but not wanting to get phunked by the millions of times people said they're gonna bring in a band and nothing happened, lets check Slayer's website for tourdates.

Sept is South American tour.
14th-15th is Tokyo Loud Park Festival.
20th onwards is Slayer's European tour.

Inbetween, they're gonna squeeze in and play in Singapore on the 13th? and then rush to Japan? And tickets sold at inokii? Such a band, which is bigger than slipknot, and inokii provides tickets? No offense ah but this is not some gig. I would expect sistic to rip our money off and no less.
Slayer site has no official statement. Some proof please?

I think a magazine cover and some details ain't gonna cut it. No offense bros i would like to see some tangible proof because like everyone else, i would love to see this happen as well.

damn you iron cross and lazybum, you have valid points.

I spose i shouldnt get too happy about it unitl there is proof.

LAMC manager person told me they were though.

Yes agreed, I am not believing anything until it has been publicly confirmed by LAMC or whoever else is bringing them in. Slayer is way too big a band for tickets to be sold from Inokii exclusively

Fair enough. Suggest everyone relaxes a bit till the official announcement. I suggest checking www.lamcproductions.com every now and then to see if it works out as they were the ones talking about bringing them in. The word I've gotten from LAMC is that they are very positive about the 13th of Oct happening.

In reference to their gig in Japan, they are actually only performing on the 15th (it's a two day festival). So coming to Singapore on the 13th, flying off on 14th morning, and being able to rest and play on the 15th in Japan is all in a day's work. I've seen worst schedules before.

Let's just be supportive and hope it happens. I reckon subversion is a reliable enough source and he's probably just telling us what he's heard from his direct sources. I'm quite sure sistic will be carrying the tickets AS WELL. Anyone who has only one channel of ticket sales for a concert have got to be crazy

Cheers and beers. Peace bros.

i will be supportive. I am not here to put anyone down. Just want to be critical since there's no real evidence here. Please, to organisers, make this happen. *prays*

I'M COMING!

oh yea, for those sceptical ppl...notice whats written on the bottom of slayer's tour page?

More dates are scheduled to be announced soon, keep checking back often.

so yea, keep checking back.

now, one very important question.
how would i get a photographer's pass?
say if i'm a freelancer, would i still have to tie-in with a media company to get a pass?
and say if i'm from malaysia, that makes it harder right?
cos i doubt anyone can bring in cameras right?

Keep checking LAMC website la you guys ah...slipknot also 1 month before then the official announcement is being made what...dont be so doubtful. check with inokii la if you all cant wait...the number is posted already...YEAA!!!! finally can go for this one....

Heh, if its real, I will definitely be there. still remember those school boys days when i plugged Slayer in my walkman every morning.... heh.... it would be a dream come true if they come!

it is clear that when a certain information about a big act coming to town without prior notice, it will be laced with doubts. especially when the information source comes not from a major promoter but a forum member. it is also incredible that a small time CD dealer is making headway by offering advance bookings, people tend to be dismissive.

i now get a better picture of the community here.

Well, I bet you all the doubting Thomases will still be there if its true without reminding anyone of how dismissive they were.

Interesting ain't it, because from what I remember, Slayer was never the kind of band we associated with major promoters anyways.

Kudos to the folks who are trying to make all this happen.

Remember the Fugaxi shows almost ten years ago? =)

damnit their new album is a big dissapointment. i thought it would be ALOt better but no.. it fails.

I dunno if i should go to innoki and put my name down or what.. i want proof.

But slayer isnt very mainstream. only a select group of people in singapore would go. unlike slipknot which has metal/numetal/bit of death? etc, its alot broader.

but like Mayhem and stuff, sold through small shops.
