SLAYER in S'pore (photos added in gallery)

Lol at the doubts. When Inokii posts something, it will happen. Just that Slayer is not my cup of tea, I would much rather watch other performences.

i think if u change slayer concert to maybe like......bon jovi...or Guns & Roses...den definately the media and all the big label will release to news like mths ago...look at robbie william...his concert is like at nov..but the tix start sellin last mth liao...

so i guess it still ultimately comes down to the business la...which ever can attract the most audience and the most $$ will always get the attention 1st...but i think soon u might get to see slayer concert commercial on TV..tts wat happen last time when slipknot came..it was only like a few weeks b4 their concert den the media start to promo it

huh another concert by lamc ah.
last time dream theater concert they flopped like shit.
everyone free upgrades.
saw some 68 dollar ticket guy walk up all the way to mosh.
X . x dont know if the same thing will happen again.

I don't mean to be on the offensive subversion but we're not putting down the organisers here. Don't be too pessmistic or sweeping abt the community here. There are people who really support the scene. But it is important to be critical of such events. There's been too many cases of false hopes and money squandering. Even at smaller levels, like gigs, there have been cases of bands that never existed to bands put on posters to big band names used to lure people but they never showed up *cough*

Happens. We just don't want to get our hopes raised here. Its loving slayer we're talking about (i didn't bother using the vulgarity. I did type "loving")

Being too supportive of a scene/community leads to complacency. Being too cynical and complaining leads to its destruction. It's all about a niche balance.

In any case, i support whoever is bringing in Slayer. God's speed to you. But God hates us All :P

But if its not true or possible then early disappointment is better. Kind of like a break-up. The faster the better and more time to recover. :P

i'm highlighting the parties who are not forthcoming when it comes to small time players in this forum. the people who are truly accomodating here are numbered. i'm not asking people to be overtly hospitable but this forum gets degraded by juvenile entries all the time. i've nothing against who you are, at times your efforts undermines others' enterprise. this must be made known to you (general reference).

performances do get cancelled at the 11th hour, it happens all the time. when can only be hopeful especially when it comes to big names like SLAYER & their hectic touring schedule. i understand the high hopes triggered by this upcoming performance. it happened to me when MAYHEM was announced to play here. along the way the media tried to bring it down- cancellation was imminent.

the reason why LAMC has not announced this event (yet) is that they are trying to tie-up with Warner to include an album launch as well. they are still talking.
