Skipping southeast asia again!

I heard from a trustworthy resource that Iron Maiden will only play infront of 80,000 crowd and our national stadium can only fit hmmmm 20k or less? :)

3rd time I hear this "inside news" that they will be playin in Feb of whichever year and 3rd time this inside news are just rumours...

I'm more surprised that they will be playing in Dubai of all places!

Wonder why Indonesia is not bringing them in as well... I'm sure they are more than able to attract the "minimum" 80,000 capacity.

the national stadium can fit 60,000 crowds.
i think not more than 20,000 will turn up if they played at sg.
haha.

I beg to differ. If SG is their only SEA leg of the tour, than they can easily fill the National Stadium (if its still usable by then) to the crowd of around 70,000. Hordes of their fans from neighbouring countries and even maybe Australia will make their way down here, just like the first Dream Theater concert in Singapore.

Maybe even surpassing Michael Jackson's record concert attendance here.... :rolleyes:

whos your inside news siah?!

If I tell you, I gotta kill you... :mrgreen:

However that same source also told me that Slayer, Slipknot, Dream Theater, Dark Funeral, Deep Purple, Helloween, Megadeth, etc.. would also be holding concerts here which eventually came true (which I really thought was bullocks at first)... So hmmm... ;)

Anyway this "inside news" has been around for quite a while already. Just that the month is always the same though and it goes something like this, "There's a high chance that Iron Maiden will play in SG on Feb next yr..."

yea from the bands mentioned u could guess where the "inside news" came from....i heard it the exact same way lol....really looking forward to the next metal big name in sg

[=Cavett

oh no no no no no..im going to sound like a bimbo now!i heard from a source too they were 100 percent coming next year.garrr!!!!!!i already told myslef regardless of what i aint goin to any other non local bands gig till maiden come and now...im utterly devastated big time man.i cant describe how much maiden means to heavy metal i am a maiden diehard.i know they need to feed huge production costs but hey KL or indonesia will still suffice right?i guess ill have to wait for marriage and honeymoon to wherever they are playing then...if only there was a twist of fate...

I heard the india concert earlier this year drew about 30,000 fans if I'm not wrong. That's probably why they are going back to Bangalore again.

But looking at the Singapore metal fans statistic, I kind of doubt we can draw that kind of amount, especially for a metal gig. Day 2 of Singfest already drew like 10,000, but since Iron Maiden is legendary and should they come, I hope we can expect something like 10,000-ish lah ah.
