Sixth-sense technology - the future if IT!

With the ever fastest growing technology. I find that life has been getting more scary!

Since I'm a drummer. I just can't imagine if they invented a glove & u can do tornado chops in an unbelievable speed w/o moving a muscle. Hahahaha..... Sorry for being too imaginative......

I'm just freaking out with these latest technologies.

Soon we can play guitar on a computer without actually holding a guitar physically. Now thats cool.Something like AirGuitar.

actually it has already happen and for a while, but in a slightly different format...

you need samplers like native instrument kontakt and sound samples like this.

with the kontakt sampler, as long you have the samples with different velocity layer, anything we can think of, as long as theres company producing the samples, can be played via a midi controller, be it physical hardware controller or touch screen style computer with virtual keys within..

amazing concept for the 6 sense tech btw, by making things thats already around us a piece of technology instead of the usual way round of having a specific hardware doing something particular as what has always been the case.

how abt music creation via brainwaves............u neednt move a muscle just the brain muscles........imagination is the only limit.

wat a horrible thought hahahah

Dime: True! The guitar shops all over the world plus the manufacturers will all close shop!

Gee! It's damn scary!

Imagine what will it do to the bass, drums, keyboards & even VOCALS!

What an imagination guys!

traditional guitars will still stay around for long while imho, coz the people who uses real guitar and the those that embrace technology as part of music are usually 2 different group and their path usually doesnt cross in general

This is great, it's like a smart PDA with a projector but I'm sure it's gonna cost like twice as much as normal PDAs now.

That would mean the end of the real guitars. No more Gibson,Fender etc.

Don't really see it happening. Guitar technology has been somewhat the same for the past 40 - 50 years, and I foresee that it will remain the same. It's just not the same not playing guitar on a guitar.

Musical instruments aside, the 6th sense tech has many interesting applications. For the deaf, they can hand-sign, then the signs get recognised by software and words are formed from speakers so others can understand.

We don't need laptops and cell phones - all integrated. The end of scanners as well. Just "pinch" and "drop" them into PCs or just a piece of paper. The end of digital cameras (and maybe videocams).

Like I said Cheez,

Technologies are becoming more & more advanced till the fact that one fine day, We will see a gig with only PCs' onstage. LOL!

Just Imagine, a bassist, guitarist, drummer, keyboardist using only PCs onstage to perform except for the vox who will sing with the mic while the rest sitting down!

Hahahahah! I just can't imagine if that happens!

Its actually quite norm with the above scenario for electronic musicians for a long while. Similar to people playing instruments on stage, what they do with computers/laptop for live situation sequencing, cut and paste, add effect, loop over, add layers, stripped the music down and rebuilt, remix it in real time.

these fellas, below, kraftwerk, have been doing their thing of computer music for a long while of at least 20 over years and more. For live, its just the 4 of them and computer on stage.
