hey ppl, i was wondering how do ppl actually coordinate their singing and playing well at the same time? i've tried it's hard especially playing fast riffs :lol:

eh, normally if i encounter such a problem, i try to let myself play the riff subconsciously, and then sing lor...hehe...not much help i guess...

You should give Ani Difranco a listen - your jaw will drop at some of her songs, like Out Of Range.

It's all about practice I guess. First get the basic strumming-singing right, then move on to singing with fingerpicking, hammerons and pulloffs, etc.

singing while playing is all about practice. The first time i tried to sing while playing a guiter, oh, it was so hard. I practice on Time Of Your Life(good riddence). Te first part was all about fingerpicking, the second was strumming. I find that singing while fingerpicking is much more harder than singing while strumming. At the end of the day, its all about practice

strumming is one thing. u dont have to look at ur fingers. but playing riffs is another thing, which is much harder, finding the frets etc
