I agree that it's most probably a 1-sided thing so the whole context has to be here for us to see first. That's not to say, however, that making sweeping statements like "Just like all other Singaporeans. Never learn from experience." is just uncalled for. That's like me saying that all expats are annoying idiots and should remain where they were. BUT! 1) I know they're not and 2) I have expat friends who (surprise!) are not annoying idiots. Similarly, I know annoying Singaporeans as well.

And how do you know 90% of expats never want to return? Was there a research paper or report in any media done to substantiate this? If there is, I haven't seen it yet. FWIW, I'm not on anybody's side here; I'm just addressing the sweeping statement made by Halhead.

On the other hand, maybe that PM was done in a moment of anger(or rather annoyance since anger is too strong a strong word) cuz the person was annoyed at azlyjacaz's posts in the thread? I don't know. Oh well. Anyways, let's not take things so seriously. Everyone take a chill pill!
