Hi guys,

chanced upon this thread while doing some research for an essayabout local music on radio.

i can tell from people's response and enthusiasm for singapore bands in the 60s that they really gained a place in people's hearts.

would any of you be able to tell me if bands such as The Quest, The Thunderbirds and The Silver Strings actually got any kind of airplay on the radio or were featured on television back then?

Yes, I believe these bands from the 60's were featured on tv. But I don't know what programme and when lah!

Great stuff!

The only let down was realising that the guitars are not plugged in
and the guy is ablib-ing. I have a feeling mediacorp has a part to play
in this...
