Hi all, I'm Christopher the guitarist from Crossover.
I do feel that Say Whale deserved to win, they were tight, comfortable on stage, and most of all they presented and represented themselves on stage very well. But I must admit it must have been a really tough decision for the judges. All the bands were friggin good.
Hearing bands like Sky Juice, Blaster Foundation, Big Road Jam, Project Ultrasound, Al Grande Terrorismo, Mythician...wow. I was honestly lost for words, and of course admittedly intimidated by the competition...my balls shrink and I kid you not. LOL.
But don't be sourgrapes or whatever over the winner, the comp is over, the judges have made their decisions. Plus it's just a competition not as if it's presidential elections
...kind of an irony since music itself is not a competition, but the finals didn't feel like a competition to me, there was simply zero competitive atmosphere. All the bands were chilling out and exchanging advice, as if it was just a normal gig for all of us preparing to rock out on stage.
I just want to wish the members of Say Whale all the best, I hope this comp proves to be a good stepping stone for you guys man!
