its actually a little bit of both, a little more to the fans.

douglas has already made public that sly fans harrassed him after one of the spectaculars, when he gave bad comments about sly. i guess he had no choice but to give good comments during the finals, or face the :twisted: of sly fans. if not for his tone-deaf fans he wouldn't have made it past better singers like Olinda.

i think sly knows it himself, that's why he struggles every week to give that same old wink and hand-signs to make them scream (why they scream, a reason i apparently don't know why). he appeals to them teenage girls only because he is a local subsitute of the taiwanese-boybandish type of look.

thirdly, i see a whole lot of this racism thing going around in school, at work, even at orchard road but thankfully there hasn't been any word of racism on this forum.

i wont take britney spears in my rock band..she's good but not for a rock band..i see britney, sly and taufik as 3 different package...

i agree we have plenty of choices in life...i choose taufik simply he attracted me more than sly..dats y i cant support both..i can only choose one to be my fav idol..my eyes and ears decide..im open to all kinds of genres..if a commercial music sucks, i wont bother to listen..dats making use of music!! dat explain y they have good and bad sales...lets be fair to music...if u wanna make money out of music, make it a beautiful one...and sly will look and sound good in future album and performances coz money doesn't come dat easy..

well actualli it depends on the deal between artist and label..if u wanna use the label to ONLY distribute ur music, they dont have the right to tell u wat to do, wat to sing, how to behave...how to dress..on ur palms down!!! if u have ur own team, u can produce and promote ur own..if u have ur own label..better still..but is it recognised? we have choices rite? Specific,Measurable,Achievable,Realistic,Timely.

if u are tied by a label..means u are their salesmen..u have to be professional bout it..but if u tink music comes from the heart, every performances should be sincere, u want to manage ur own..then be ur own boss..u can always work ur way up...

Hmm. Whatever it is, I think one good thing that has come out of this competition is that Singaporeans, generally, have become more receptive to local talent.

i think what soft said is wrong. If i was in a rock band there'd be no way i'd play for F4 or something .... I will feel like a damn hypocrite if i do that .... I wont just accept any job to play even if it means i'll look stupid. I am way more cooler than that.
