i feel it's taufik........ so far....... he's the only one keep on improving.....
i dunno le ... but when c sylvester ... he dosent have that kinda confident look .. not self assured look of a entertainer ...

NO OFFENCE to anyone here : i think the taufik vs sly thing got abit of racial overtones .... i mean .. just look at the way they appeal to voters... taufik uses malay and sly uses chinese... with all due respect to cultural hertiage etc etc... i think its kinda cheap to use race to win votes rite ? abit sleazy !

I agree with the racial thing..but it's more of malays vs TEENAGERS..just look at all the girls going wild as sly sweeps them off the feet!!

personally i will still go for sly... disregarding the fact that im totally disgusted by the way his popularity comes from under-aged lil girls who know no better then to waste money on voting.
he does have the X-Factor.
and he plays guitar.

I notice slyvester(why do pple refer to him as sly? weird) always likes to boast about his guitar, and how he like rock , especially the classic rock stuff.Maybe he does have substance, but I wouldnt exactly call him a rocker, since he entered Singapore Idol. I'm kinda pissed with the fact that pple (especially girls) likes him for his taiwanese boyband looks.. u saw the news on tv yesterday?

taufik is oreadi a winner...even if he lose...there r already commercial plans for him...if he doesn't get a chance to represent singapore, i wont watch sly sing in world idol..i'll feel ashamed..the world will say, "Is this the best that Singapore has?"

i think he got his own band "lze.fier" or something like that. they played at heartrocksingapore's events before. but i dont think thats an excuse for him to boast abt his guitar. yeah i totally agree he's no longer a rockstar. from the start i already see that he doesnt fit in the competition. cause singapore idol is for pop idol wannabes. did anyone see World Idol for the first ever season. there's a guy who won his country's idol competition singing Nirvana songs. the guy got those long hair rockstar looks (those early 90, late 80's band look). then for world idol, he sang nirvana's LITHIUM.
then simon cowell commented "you're kurt cobain's worst nightmare". lol
so, i'll vote for TAUFIK!!

i know it is sometimes quite hard to watch SI without giving some comments but do give these contestants a chance. it is really tough to be up there week after week trying to look cool and hide the tension and fear underneath.
i am sure all those who have performed on stage would agree with me that it is a scary place to be. and even good musician can break down with stage fright.
the name of the show is Singapore Idol, so naturally, they are looking for someone who have that idol quality. do they have it? yes, i guess. cause there are people who actually vote for them. spending money too.
on television, alot of things are beyond the control of the contestants. it is mostly 'directed'. this is to make it look attractive to the audience. that's why when you watch mtv, you see bands jumping around. do you do that when you are practising? it is to make the 'show' look better.
i believe both finalist do want to excel in music and their love for music is no less than anyone of us. let's give them our support and cheer them on.

I'm not really for the IDOLS shit. But i just can't let Sylvester win and claim throne to this "Rock Idol" title, he's way to gay to taint the rock scene of singapore.
