hmmmm. just wondering for a strat style guitar with ash body which pickups from seymour duncan or dimarzio would be good
also how is seymour duncan comparable dimarzio...

comparing SD vs dimarzio, is like a Gibson vs Fender type thingie.
some swear by SD...
some prefer dimarzio, usually ibanez fans

Yeah you definitely right about that, it's just that I'm thinking of getting the Fender VG Strat. It's a proper Strat that is also a modeling guitar like the line 6 Variax. The interesting thing is that the "Virtual Strat" model and the real Strat sound exactly the same except for the noiselessness in the Virtual Copy. So I figured, I can have "two" Strats in one by changing the PUs.

i personally think that fender pickups are the best for ash body guitar..
try 57/62 or Texas Special..
it will bring out the true tone of the wood..

duncan vs DiMarzio? personal preference, really.

but for the guitar stated above, Fender's Hot Noiseless is recommended 8)

some people actually may be paid to use the pickups
++ not that i know for sure... but i am sure endorsement comes with payments ++

And the pickups that your like on someone else guitar
may not sound the same in yours.....

there are so many brands out there.. the most important thing is your pup is clear enuff before you can do magic with a nice amp.. i strongly believe that the amp is the most important and final thing to your tone.. even your pup or pedal worth thousands but ur amp sux... its gone...
