Hey Goose/John:

Have you considered painting the enclosures in a neutral colour (e.g. white) and affixing a sticker overlay on it? This could potentially solve the issue of painting the enclosures. All you would have to do is have holes cut at the necessary spots and stick it onto the enclosure prior to affixing the pots, jacks, switches etc.

Catalinbread does something similar on their DLS actually. Although their 'sticker' is transparent and they paint the enclosures different colours, I'm sure you could do the converse and have coloured overlays instead :)

its actually called lexan. they get quite offended if you say its a "sticker". its very very durable, and its also very expensive. they told me its more expensive that silk screening but the benefits are they are able to make more fine details on the graphics visible.

and its not transparent judging from the violet dls i owned

hahah great! its really really nice. i STILL think black looks much better than pink! the gold or yellow words really match the black beautifully.

just one more question, how come ya'll nvr think of top mounted jacks rather than at the sides, saves more space..

Thanks. The graphic part of it really took me quite awhile. And also, I personally won't consider any other colours for the seventh then black. I tried blue, green, red, purple and of course pink just to have a feel of how the pedal will turn out. But black's still the best. The wording is actually silver and not white as white is too static.

As we mass produce the enclosures this run, we won't be making any special runs of the seventh probably till this batch runs out.

The technical part of the pedal is primarily goose's design. As I'm not too technically incline, I suspect he has to take into consideration of the pcb, how it's going to be mounted etc... So guess it's possibly the best option.
