Actually Vaiyen, I sorta understand where django is coming from. i tried to point out the same thing with Dhalif.

He actually made very relevant points here and started out ok, look at the first post he made. The next post, the insults started to be thrown at him.

Now so many ppl come in here, and without a 2nd thought, brand djanggo as a jealous 50 yr old man. And ironcross must hurl vulglarities at him.

Again, these NATO challenge, let-me-see-you-play-then...-challenges, are childish beyond measure.

I disagree with you here, Moo... ;)

I think everyone has a right to state their views, to critique someone's playing or his band or dressing. Thats how musicians realise their errors and what not....

However, in this case, look at the insults given to django... you expect him to take it lightly? Thats why djanggo is so hot headed now.

Sorry for my comments below.

Yup, I have the audio recording of Yakamashi dat nite...in fact the whole Konsert Rock Gerek power bands namely (Wings, XPDC, Metalasia, Yantzan/Amuk wif Yakamashi) .
Kai's guitar tone was somewhat...dissapointing. Very thin and a bit out of tune...but their drums was superb.(Lola of Search , right?) I was quite suprised with his sound cos he was using a Yngwie model (I've tried em, u should geta thick sound just by using DS-1 on dat guitar)
To be fair to Kai, ...Wings & Xpdc had bad guitar sound too but the tone is still there.
Just my 2 cents.

As for Djanggo..tak gua tak support lu. Lu punya cara ...Kurang ajar lah bro.

hhahahahaa gua punya cara memang rock hantu rabakzzzz,biadap dan kurang ajar.....Tu yakamsahii mesti nak kena tegur...jangan jadi gitaris syok sendiri....Dia pakai gitar $5000 ke ..gitar stave vai ke ,malmsteen ke....pada aku takde beza...setting sound important,pick up use,amp use is importtant.Korang kalau tahu pasal gitar,pada aku beli gitar signature series buang duit and overpriced.harapkan design aje...sound sendiri kena set kasi betul....

sounding more & motr like a petty and childish argument.

As a musician, u must learn to accept criticisim. There will always be someone out there who do not like what u do. There are many people who like YW Malmsteen as well as many others who dun. Some think YWM just play fast, but not clear..and so on it goes. Is YWM going to waste his time arguing with pple who are not happy with his skills? of course not.

As a listener, you have your own rights to give your 2cents on your opinion, and comments on the music. I dare say u got the right to flame it if you want coz its ur ears. ( altho not desirable) Everyone have the right to free expression but it is up to one`s value n morals on how to express it appropriately. But taking it so personally as to continously forcing the comment down the former throat is not a very viable way. If the musician choose to disregard it, thats it. Just say your peice, in the end its not your loss. The fact still remains he is highly regard by some, and of course the band is still famous.( whether you think its gd or sux).

hey kai, first off, pretty nice playing. hope i can achieve that someday :wink:

about the nato challenges though, i kinda stand with shredcow. say any newbie who has listened to a wide-enough range of music, and by this i mean not just guitar-oriented music, would be able to discern what sort of tone he personally likes, what he looks for in his songs, stuff like that. criticism is fine, even when coming from a newbie. after all, the newbie might pick up things that an experienced player overlooked, maybe a bad habit or somesuch.

moreover, the OM section is a place for someone to showcase his works, and get info on how to improve, or to ask players he's listened to how they've gotten their sound, etc. imho there isn't a need to be good to post ur works up on the OM section. no criteria has been put anyway that says "no noobs". thus....

in any case, as stated before, please chill? its beyond the point of who's right and who's wrong, its simply bad for soft's otherwise pleasant environment.

I dont think anyone likes to be called a wannabe.

for me, Khai's playing is good, but just not my cup of tea. He likes to shred malmsteen style, and he works hard to achieve it, and for this, I respect him. You can tell a person 'change your style, too many people doing this shit already, you sound like everyone else' but if he enjoys what he's doing and wants to continue and improve on what he's doing, why whine or go 'what a loser, dont take my advice'?

I dont see anything wrong against khai's retaliations, you dont expect him to go ''Djanggo you're right man, I'm a wannabe!'. After all, we're still human beings, we will react when someone attacks us.

Criticism is part and parcel of musicianship. Not insults though. Such degrading comments, I feel that this user has an overwhelming urge to show the world what a jackass he can be. I believe he finally reached his dream of being that person he wants to be! 8O

You don't have to be better to criticise. But you are INSULTING. On a PUBLIC forum. Skill or whatnot doesen't matter. What you are doing, is not exactly what I'd proclaim right. I'm definitely not taking sides here. But the comments has to stop.
