There were lots of publicity in the papers. Plus last year's School of Rock winner have been doing lots of shows right up till now. All paid ones. Its still one of the better platform to get recognised.

haha... i tot u were a record company??? Anyway... superband is getting more and more boring... didn't really like the episode yesterday... So many "boy bands"... it really spoils the whole scene...

We are an indie record label, unstable web-zine and dodgy gig organisers all rolled into one. You can throw in neighbourhood friendly forum dweller and beer guzzlers into the mix as well.

well,agingyouth,i agree with you that looks also plays a part,but people with good look and sing like crap,maybe their album will sell or they will be popular,but it wont last long,unlike people with talent,prolly their face jialat,but if the voice damn good,people surely will buy...imo =)

what i notice in superband...wah lao eh,like some of them really nonsense man,the show itself,like damn jialat,some of them just dance like hell,some of them try to sing,but sounds like scream and shouting nonsense to me...
the standard is really crap...compared to school of rock,i think school of rock is a much better competition...that superband show really disappointing,i was hoping for a much better standard

I went to mahkota parade recently, saw a band perform but didn't stay to watch cause i was in a rush ... I wonder if it had anything to do with that .. It seemed quite large scale ..

I happened to catch one of the Supercrap...err Superband shows on TV, oh my I felt embarressed watching them. Most of them are far from tight, which leads me to wonder if they had just formed the band for the sake of the competition. Apart from the malay acapella group, I don't think any of the rest can actually sing.

They shld make some sort of a Superband on Channel5. Like for those bands that have real equipments, without the dancing boy/girl group thing. So can sing in english, and its solely for bands.
Juz an idea to help Spore's music scene for bands.
I think last time have, but no more now. Shld restart it.

haha... anyway its good exposure either way for all the future talent in singapore... but the bands in "superband" really are setting the bar (quite a low one)... i'd rather watch american idol now... Btw, Chris from AI sounds really rock... 8O

i'd buy Chris's record. i bet he'll release. his voice super good for heavy. yeah i think school of rock should have more publicity. they make all the superband and the superhost and all that thing so big. then the english side nothing.
