Poc-ed yesterday (friday)..was from BMTC school 2..Pegasus coy platoon 2..


got posted to SAFTI MI as an Admin Support Assistant..



any advice or tips?


care to share your experiences there, if any?

Admin Support should be like storeman but on admin side. More on service side. No need to chiong sua.

ANd also, apply Singtel NS line. Free calls at Safti MI and free unlimited sms. LOL!.

I think its 8-5. Well, check with your other company mates regarding this.

Basically, you're clerk. Depending on your job scope, you'll either be very free or it'll be very jialak. When I was active, I was posted to 3 different units as an ASA at different times. The welfare part differs greatly. Things get much better when you become a CPL.

Relationship with your peers (especially those who ORD around the same time as you do) is very important. It's pretty much an office environment. Just do your job and you'll be fine. But.. It is not uncommon for you to fill it as a storeman or do weekend guard duty even though most people think that clerks don't do guard duties on a weekend.

Hmm. Clerk, is a bit hard to say. Different camps and sirs will treat clerks very differently, so I'm not sure. SAFTI MI is basically OCS.

Anyway, one word of advice is try to be peace.
Don't suck up to anyone, don't offend anyone. Just be helpful and do your job as you are supposed to do it. Remain as a neutral party to everyone and everyone will generally like you, or at least won't trouble you.

Yet again, its hard to say. I got colleagues who suck up to my sirs and now they think they can walk all over us

SISPEC was in Tekong for a while but they shifted back when Pasir Laba was fully rebuilt,going back to their spiritual home and OCS now resides in SAFTI-MI,opposite a Burger King outlet (yum yum)


ASA is basically a clerk and since you are there,just be prepared for a very long walk to your office.......................

anyways just bear with it, you're not gonna believe it when we say two years is a short time.

after ORD u look back and you'll probaly say you had fun while in NS. of course, the tough part is actually going through your NS. Go through it week by week, you'll find it easier..

agreed. your life should be quite good as compared to the majority of nsfs so be happy staying in is the norm.. staying out is a bonus.

At least OCS has a computer in their room so they can access the internet. My side has no internet, my course has politics (cause my bunkmates are all clowns, but feel free to substitute the word clowns for something else) and the food here sucks. At least OCS has good decent food. You only need to book in sunday night and leave friday right?
